Profile Dueling; the answer to flame wars

this is how we used to settle shit on the old MSN punkchat boards. the two parties agree on a contest (open debate, games of skill, popularity, what have you,) they compete & loser deletes his profile. no whining, no bitching, no crying to mods.

what do ya'll think about that? it's awesome, cuz only your ego gets smashed on if you lose & most egos need smashing from time to time, mine included. :) hell, mine especially! I've lost these contests before & it's funny how worked up people get behind their profiles. I'd be swoll if i lost mine... but that's what makes it fun!

the offer to duel is quite effective in puttin hoes in check. silences all bullshitters.

I don't advocate doing it on general principle; just as a way of settling irreconcilable differences. and as a means of "intellectual cleansing" for the community in general.
