i just stick em right in 12-12, 18-6 and they will just veg more. um the only thing i can say is you could utilize your light a tad more if you made some ghetto reflectors, anything from a baking pan to a sheet of whiteboard if you got it. dont know whats goin on with the little ones but that tall one is lookin first rate man.... good job

you might move your light aroun a bit. if you can get plants on both sides of the light. like 3 or 4 down the middle and maybe one for each on the out side of the rows would work. you can only do so much with cfl's. reflectors don't do much but hold heat with cfl's
there is a reason you need the light 2" from the plant. just try to use 2 or 3 sides of the bulb.

wtf are you talking about? reflectors dont do anything my ass..... all that light goin straight to the ceiling is doin a whole load of good aint it? for five bucks and some stoned diy time it is well worth it.....

take the distance from the light to the reflector and then from the reflector to the plant. More then two inches? all I'm saying is the cfl is a very low powered light and very little if any usefull light will reach the plant from a reflector. Reflectors might help with the higher power cfl's 80w and up but those little ones no way.

do u have lower "k" bulbs. the opposite side of the light spectrum for flowering? cus those r daylight bulbs arent they? for flowering ur supposed 2 have something like 2500k- 4k, im pretty sure u can double check on that stickied post bout CFLs.And on a side note reflective material has to help. specially mylar or something similar. that like basically doubles the amount of light hittin the plants wouldnt it?

ok reflectors will help just becouse you say so. try putting your cfl's a foot off your plants and see how well they do. or at least tell me why a reflector would help a bulb that needs to be two inches away from the plant. So now your bulb is two inches off your plant lets say your bulb is two inches wide the reflector is two inches off the bulb. so thats at least 6" off the plant. how well will your plant grow if your bulb's are 6" off the plants? without the reflector. I'll tell you not very well. so what will you get from reflected light. I don't know but it's alot less the then light you would get from the bulb and you would not do well with the bulb at 6" off the plant. I will try to prove or disprove this. untill then good luck.
