Im a rookie myself but very good researcher . . " study long study wrong"

Hope this helps bud

Its been said its 100w per a plant 100 watts is equivalent to 27w C.F.L's

Thats 4 maybe J.t. If i was you i'd run down to the hardware store swoop up some 27 watts for about 3.00 for a pack of three or you can use mylar/foil/white insulation to maximize lighting.. I think<<<<< notice the i think?<<<<<<

pick all males and do what? assuming to dump!!!

hope that helped a little..

You can do 4 plants under 4, 42watt CFL's IF you use Y splitters and position the plants in between each bulb so it's like each plant has 2 CFL's on it. Keep em real close like 1-2 inches away from the tops THE ENTIRE GROW. And make yourself a good reflector that will help a lot for good coverage.

NOW you gotta understand COLOR TEMP. They call 2700K (Redder spectrum) Soft White CFL's. MJ plants like this Color spectrum during flowering. 6500k (bluer spectrum)CFL's are called Daylight. Mj plants REALLY LIKE THIS color spectrum during the begining and veg phase. STAY AWAY from bulbs labeled "Cool white, brite white" These bulbs are in the 4100k color temp range and are not effective on plants. You can use both 2700 and 6500 through out the entire grow if you like.

Hey ROBOMIKE. Seen you on my thread.
SUP? K just because someone said that, doesn't necessarily make it right. 100W per plant of what kind of Light? Likely HPS light or MH.

When it comes to CFL's their light intencity disapates at much shorter distences from the bulb. Requireing you to keep them much closer to the plants. It would be MUCH more accurate to say you need a minimum of 3000 Lumen's per square foot. For a sucessful CFL grow. MORE IS BETTER. BUT like i tell EVERYONE< you have to keep them REAL CLOSE TO THE PLANTS. 1-2 inches at all stages of growth. This will ensure your plants don't stretch much, and your buds will grow dense not all popcorn and airy.

A 23w or 27w CFL replaces 100W incandecent bulbs. But emit 1600-1800 lumen.

A 42w or 45w CFL replaces 150-200w incandecent but emits, 2600- 3100 lumens.
