i need help bad! i dont think i can help the babies already started but i cant QUIT! when i get pics i'll post that seperate, but for now i am going to get some Promix and i was told there were 2 kinds, one with microbes and no fungicide and one with fungicide but no microbes. So does promix not come with any microbes? If thats the case i use earthjuice food , what should i use for microbes? or should i get the one with microbes , and if so then what should i use for fungicide . I am not a newbie as i have had 6 or 7 GOOD indoor crops and i ussally just use plain MG mix(or any other mix thats cheap) and some perlite and never had any probs like now :wall:
but if you guys could please help with the promix thang , that would super help for the new ones................PLEASE

Hola Friend.

Okay I use Promix-BX with mycorise (the orange bag). I've never needed the fungicde one. I have really good resluts. I don't add anything to it, I just use water and ferts and if I need to boost the soil I might add a mix for calcium, magnesium, copper etc. I use all DNF (Dutch Nutrient Formula) nutrients and their line up. They have a mix for all the calcium etc, and I fulsh with DNF Clear. They do have something for a fungicde but like I said I've had amazing results without it. I also use Pro-mix for all of my clones seedlings, everything. Just remember that when going from MG to Pro-mix it is a huge difference. There are no nutrients so to speak (I've had this argument with someone already - there are not enough and he thought mycroise counts for nutes) and you will need to make sure that you do add nutes at the right intervals. PM me if you have any questions as I have been using it for a long time.

Basics to remember with Pro-mix
-water onlt to germinate (I start in Jiffy pucks in a seed starter kit [dome thing] with 100% success rateyou can start right in Promix but the jiffy pucks/dome give great results)
-After you put the seedling in the pro-mix the first watering you can add a little Hydro-thrive(DNF) or Super-thrive(not in Canada more USA product - from what I know is similar to hydro-thrive basically Vitamin B1 and or B12)
-2nd watering you can feed (1/4 Strength)
-alternate between watering with nutrients and with only water
-2nd Feefing you can goto a 1/2 strength solution. 1/2 strength is the max you go. Full strength is for full hydroponics not soil/soil less
-Always allow a 10% water run off when watering or you will get a build up in the soil that will hurt your plants.
-Ph water to 6.0

Again anyquestions just PM me as to be honest I probably won't susbcribe to this thread and will forget to answer you. If you PM me I will usually respond within 24 hours.

Good luck with the grow.

6 months later ........... and i finnaly learned that promix bx or hp is NOT good by itself for organic growing. IF you are stuck on organics then you will need to add compost and/or worm castings. That shit is sterile so if your gonna feed with organics you need a microherd to break down the food so the plant can use it..... this will not happen right away with strait promix.

If you are gonna use promix strait then use a synthetic food!
