Hello RIUers!

I have recently been having problems with germination and was wondering if anyone could help. I use a tupperware covered in black electric tape to prevent light from getting in. I put a moist paper towel in there with the seeds in them. I sit this tupperware on top of my grow box thats made of panda poly so the heat at the top makes the tupperware warm. I have used this before and it worked great but now the last ten seeds i tried germing nothing happened :roll: Anyone wanna help? Thanks a lot

How many days or hours have lapsed since you tried germination. Some seeds take slwer than others to germ.

with some of my seeds its taken a little over a week to get them to sprout. how long have you given them?

everythign sounds rite but one thing the place your putting them on your growbox is it dark??? and your covering the whole seed with damp paper towel rite not just letting them sit on the damp paper towel .....i usually put the seeds in a container and throw them in the dresser under some cloths and check on em in 24 hours and that usually works perfect for me the only thing i can think that your doing wrong is letting light get to them somehow

If everything has been the same and worked fine in the past.... ur seeds maybe no good :cry:

i tried this with my dificult seeds. SOaked for a few hours. Put in wet paper towel then folded it then put on plate with saucer covering it. Put on heat ign pad set on low. In a few hours I had cracks. Granted it had day or so already but i saw no results. NL neede some heat. A VERY little

21-23* temp(complete dark) and nice moist towels not soaked and you should be seeing a tap root within 4 days max.
i used to germ this way and every strain of seed i laid has popped for me in 70-85 hrs.
i use nirvana.com for all my seeds and they have always been good.

It's been four days and still nothing. It is four random bagseeds from a film container full of the good seeds i found over the years. I'll wait a couple more days and then try starting over. Thanks a lot everyone

its sounds like the problem is deffinately duff seeds from what your saying from the start

Thanks for the reply luda, nothing happened last night so i started four new seeds just now. I'll let you know how this round goes. Wish me luck bongsmilie

It could have been the bagseeds. I mean if you can flower a bagseed let alone germinate it you are a lucky ducky.

Yeah thanks man.... I'm hoping my 12 inch bagseed that's in flowering will be a girl and i'll be on my way to my fourth lucky harvest hahah :neutral: 320 watts of HPS should get me more with my luck than your pc case. I think it might be some skill involved too. Have a good one
