Only thing I can say is that pot is right now available to all those kids. They have their entourages and can boast and mix and do what ever the hell they want. I really doubt that making this actually legal will change things. I feel that things would stir up in the first few months, with a lot of pot heads on the streets but then things will go into normality. See Amsterdam, I've been there and I saw what a country where pot is legal looks like. Apart from the occasional wasted dudes that you see walking around with bloodshot eyes, nothing big happens, except for the thing that the guy has a great trip, and is not scared that in 2 minutes he could be behind bars. That's freedom man, that's what we should all stand for! We should all just grow and never buy from dealers for a while. That will change their perspective on things :) Also I really hope the dispensaries will get more strict rules on the diseases you need to have in order to obtain a card.

Cooley was really the only mistake I seen so far. I make my living off tending to the herb Its just we've made it so far to take a risk from a cock bungalo like Cooley. I also agree that prop 19 could of done alot more for the people ,but we as growers must realize this 2 if we want our freedom of being able to live in peace they will never allow mj to be untaxed, dui standards , or sold to kids. No law will be passed if those conditions aren't met. I guess I'm just paranoid because of how the events took place because I agree prop 19 wasn't the way to do this.

Everyone is arguing back and forth about this state wide vote but it doesnt mean shit even if it would pass as long as the feds dont want weed to be legal it wont be. State law doesnt mean dick if it contradicts fed law.
This is true, however, had it become California law, that would have put the DOJ in an unfavorable position of enforcing Federal law over states' rights to govern themselves. It would have pushed the government to react. It could have caused a showdown that the federal government really doesn't want or need.

It's a shame that prohibition has won out. Now when the new state AG starts to prosecute card carriers and growers with allergies and headaches, he will in fact test the laws in the courts and attempt to establish that 215 is rife with fraud and abuse.

Ya got what you voted for. MJ laws just took a beating that will take yers to recover from. We could still see action from the Gov office or the statehouse, but I doubt it given that 19 went down by 16 or so points.

LoL cali hasnt even balanced a budget for the next fiscal year yet..you think they are gonna go waisting money trying to bust card owners lolololololol

I voted yes ,but i didn't want 2.... If prop 19 would of made a clearer idea's how they where going to regulate it such as ," Local dispensaries will be established strictly for mj sales and taxes and allow local farmers to supply these dispensaries I would of jumped for joy over this" ,but all it said was counties would make laws similiar to alchool (sold in gas stations and supplied by mass production) I understand where you guys are coming from this would of put a huge blow to the prohibition laws I just don't want to loose my job to some factory in oakland... also people who have been growing over 200 plants have been supplying this states marijuana for the entire prohibition and we put our lives in serious jeopardy to make our living so I think we should have a say in how the regulations are operated.

I had high hopes for prop 19 (pun not intended lol). I am not too surprised that it didn't pass though. It is still hugely important that it was on the ballot at all. Did medical marijuana pass on the first try? I honestly don't know whether it did or not, but I doubt it. Fear not, prop 19 supporters, it will be back.

the rest of you sat at home smokin a joint, eatin cheetos sayin to eachother "hey man i think were forgetting to do somthin today"

if all the stupid lazy ass potheads actually got off their stupid lazy asses and voted it would have passed with a land slide..!!
You certainly get my vote for idiot of the month. 7,000,000 votes and I am guessing many were "stupid lazy assed potheads" as you like to refer to your peers.

LoL cali hasnt even balanced a budget for the next fiscal year yet..you think they are gonna go waisting money trying to bust card owners lolololololol
It wouldnt be California busting card holders genius. It would be Barrack's boys. It is only a matter of time that states like California have someone step in and make rules when you can get a card for having gas when in other MMJ states only allow the terminally sick smoke.

where would one find an oz for $30 (indoor)? its just never going to happen...why? because the cost of the equipment plus electricity is WAY over $30 per oz. so its never going to be SOLD for $30 per oz. period. its people like you that almost made a horrible measure pass by flat out lying. i'd like to know WHERE you read if it passed that indoor bud would be $30 per oz. show me.

There is no way you could sell an oz for $30 if you grow indoors. Think of the price of Soil, planters, bulbs, ferts, electricity, water and all the other little shit you have to buy to grow. "Rich old white guys" How about people that just grow for a living! I don't see you crying to drug companies that keep America sick so they can sell common cold medications! People that grow and make donations to co-op's or dispensaries or MMJ patients are the same as drug companies that make pain killers. It is a medicine! and for all that are too stupid or lazy to get your card in Cali quit fucking bitching, it is so easy to get your card down there! They will tell you what to say and who to say it to and you will have your card in 15 min! Oh boo fucking who they are selling it at street value, it is called business. And do you morons want the government spending your money? Or would you rather pay a drug dealer that is going to put the money right back into the local economy? Yeah let’s let the government run this program, all of those "old white guys" are doing a great job with the country and our tax money! That is why we are in a fucking resection right now! Pull your head out of your ass and think for once! Get off your ass and get your card and you can grow more and carry more! It is that simple!

all I got to say is hell motha fucken yeah. everyone that seen thru this bullshit prop smoke a blunt everyone else I told you so
I thing this has a lot to do with general marijuana growing. Any dope grower in his correct mind would vote against something that would screw his biz. And they don't even have proper guildlines governing growing, what about us clone and hydro guys. Not everyone grows the shit out of a bunch of seeds in dirt and even though they don't recognize the fact that all of our growth is from one selected plant the fact is most of us have chosen our plant and have growen everything from her. I believe that if proper laws are to be placed it should be limitations on rootbed and not by the number or believed number of plants. Any budded plants would have to be part of the square area. Any unbudded plant should not be considered illegal. If they would implement shit like this and make it possible for anyone to get a licence then I could see people voting for it. A policy like this would virtually wipe out marijuana trafficking. Then later regulations can be established so people that are not in a position to grow their own could buy it under government regulation and government control.

Let me edumacate you guys... Prop 19 will never pass the fact that marijuana is illegal was based on political hype by special interest with racial overtones. The law is very stupid and still is. However, we live in a world now where you get cited for talking on a cell phone or not wearing a safety belt. The establishment has to be responsible for allowing another impaired driver on the road through legalization, and believe me... if it is legalized you will see more DUIs from cannabis users. That is already happening in California as I know of a med user that got a DUI because the cop smelled it and said he didn't pass the roadside sobriety test. Ive had my doubts that California can pull this off. and if it passes in the end the Feds will likely sue California if it did pass. Too much at stake. Too many people in jail for it, too much risk of traffic fatalities, too many drug fighting jobs lost. Everyone from drug counselors to prison guards are against this law passing. It is an absolute empire at stake.
Jobs would hardly be lost, there would be a massive gain in jobs, and there would not be a rise in DUI or traffic fatalities, everyone pretty much smokes and drives already, and marijuana is not realy a drug counselors main problem.. and prison gaurds could care less I no prison gaurds and they want to smokke but cant cuz of their job. the empire would not be at stake it would flourish. the people who voted no are worried about there small time vender business, when you could have opened a whole new business based around marijuana and made even more money.
