See now your talkin right....Thats excatly what ya gotta do keep the ones you kno will be a lock close.people will be getting it from everywhere from every tom dick and harry around that I do understand. You know that the supply will go up yes but also will the demand.I say that because every person who cant smoke that wants to will be,from cops to firemen to train conductors to doctors. The main reason I dont want it to pass is after I read it I just thought that its not what meets the eye.I work for my money weed dont fill our bellys and gas tanks around this house I grow for fun and weed and maybe a lil vacation money

If and when it becomes legal, closet grows will be for personal only. You'll never keep up with big business, hobby farmers at best. Even at a huge tax rate big business will be able to produce more and higher quality than we can think of.

so just because I don't sell my own bud means I don't know SIMPLE economics!?

jesus nice assumption of yours.

guess what buddy, it all works by supply and demand. right now, the demand exceeds the supply, therefore the supply is more expensive.

but when legalizatino happens, huge motherfuckin companies will be getting in on this shit and will make the supply EXCEED the demand.

when that happens, you will see the prices drop in half atleast. and then a 50 dollar tax wont fucking matter.

now do you have ANY evidence whatsoever in economic logic that this isn't going to happen?

I highly doubt you do.

some internet cool guy who knows everything huh? then you must be the internet cool guy who knows absolutely nothing and spouts ignorant bullshit all day.

the outdoor market in cali is still flooded from last year. there is an OVER supply of weed here. prices have NOT dropped.

if it were to become legalized the DEMAND for pot would immediately INCREASE. which, by your logic, should raise prices. ;)

no difference at all. you were talking about supply and demand comparative to pricing. over the recent years the supply here has increased 10 fold, the prices continue to go up.

can YOU show me an example of your theory? and how it's proven to hold true.

uh, drug dealer and a few dispensaries vs a huge company distributing it to every gas station in the entire state?

in a regulated market in which there are regulated outlets for buying things such as this, that's when true competition occurs, when consumers can go to ONE place and choose to buy YOUR weed over someone elses.

that's when the price will drop, when others are willing to go lower than you will go.

I don't need to give you an example, just look at how the prices of everything fluctuate!

Depends where you live... there was a gas station attendent up here selling 8ths for $35 for mids. I went in to buy some grape swishers and she asked if I wanted to buy some herb. LOL.

lmfao you walking contradiction.

you only say no because you WILL be completely out of business. and this is because you are not a true business man, you are just a closet grower that's trying to make an easy living.

that life will soon be over, best get used to it or move to a different state that isn't legalizing yet.
read my third post dip shit and i never said i am excited. u wouldnt do to well on an IQ test lol... and by the way my closet is about the size of your bedroom lol lol

and you've stated absolutely nothing to prove me wrong, keep calling me something I'm not.

it would be only by the mere idiocy of the people that the prices stay the same, not economic logic.

the fact that the market in cali is FLOODED, yet the price has NOT dropped proves A LOT. you simply chose not to accept it.

ok 'exactly' you didn't call me anything but you implied I'm just some false prophet looking into a crystal ball.

sorry buddy, you can't compare the market now to the market post legalization.

until you see cannabis selling in every gas station, every walmart, every store you would normally buy it at, you cannot compare it to now.

right now, you can't go into a single store that carries virtually every popular brand of cannabis from certain producers and buy ONE over another.

all you have right now is broken competition between small towns and cities, there is no true competition therefore you're literally talking out of your ass by saying 'because it hasn't happened with all the weed we have in MY area its not going to happen when it's legalized and in EVERY area.

how bout you keep comparing apples to oranges.

there are 5 clubs within 2 miles of me that sell hundreds of different strains. once again, you are mistaken.

can you explain why the market here(ALL of california) is flooded yet the price hasn't dropped? why doesn't your logic apply? does the price only drop if it's sold in gas stations? and what's your big hang-up with gas stations?

you're ranting. :cuss:

once again, you fail to understand me.

do you see a brand name of cannabis yet?

do you see it sold in every single dispensary in the entire state of california?

NO.

the only way true competition occurs, is when there is a consistent brand name competing with OTHER brand names.

you see, there is no way for a single brand name right now to dominate the market of cannabis.

in a post legalization state, a brand could dominate a shop because it's willing to charge less and more in-relation to production costs instead of hype . . . .

so yes, when it is fully legalized and everyone can go to any store and pick one brand over another, THEN AND ONLY THEN is when true competition will occur and prices will drop.

now, I want to see how you think you can literally dominate the market in the current way it is setup? is it possible? no.
