How long from the time I clip off for the clone can I keep it in the clone stage?

Reason I ask, I have 2 rooms a flower & veg room then in one room I can clone too....

Would it be safe to say I can take 3 weeks before having to actually get the clone in?

Second question, what leafs can I clip for a clone? What can I do to have success with cloning.... What is the light patern

You can clone a leaf, but it will still be a leaf with roots, not a plant. You need at least 3 to 4 nodes on a bottom branch to make a successful clone.
I always have everything ready to clip, dip, and put in pre-soaked jiffy tube...IMO don't wait do it immediately..
I use a Jiffy Garden from walmart 4-5 bucks... and Bontone Rooting powder from home depot 4-5 bucks.... and I keep mine in my veg closet under 200w of CFLs for 16/8...and in 9-11 days..viola..

I have a perpetual grow. I also only have two rooms. I keep my four mothers in 5 gal buckets under a 400 mh and in the same room, I have an aquarium that I use as a clone dome under 2 - 4' t5s. The t5s and the mh run off the same timer 18/6. Then the other room has 2-400w hps. I use soil in 6L square pots. Every 2 weeks, I take 3 clones off of each mother, and put them in the little see through Dixie cups in the aquarium. (I know they say not to use these, but I have about a 99% rate with these, and I can see the roots first hand) After 2 weeks, I see roots on most of them by now, I take those out to put 12 more in. They then sit under the 400 mh with the mothers for one week. Then I take ten of the best looking ones out of the 12, transplant them to the square pots, and stick them straight to flower. I have 50 square pots under the 2 400w hps.
