Prove it LED users!! Post your pics of ur LED grows..

and its hard to read ur post cause u dont space it so i read a few sentence and then im like, "fuck it."

and plz show me who said i was wrong? lmfao no one did.. if anything they said i was right.. not one person outta 6 pages has shown me good results with leds.. NOT ONE..

Im not making a claim that LEDs are the best. Im not making the claim that these are huge colas.
But,
These colas were my second grow, and the plants were switched to 12/12 when they were still only 10 inches high. The plants were under 15 inches tall, and this one yielded over an ounce of really good herb, that smells like oranges.
Conclusion,
For a small closet grower, LEDs can be a good option. Given all categories of judging a product, including personal needs, price of operation, product life, and the need to stay clandestine, LEDs may be a BETTER option for some.

I like to use the automobile analogy. Some people drive SUVs, some drive Civics, and they pick their vehicle based on their individual needs.

sorry bro ur buds suck too u probably cant smoke those. im just saying what the person that wrote the thread thinks

sorry guys ur buds just dont cut it i know it too even tho i can see them i can tell there shitty bud to smoke and leds suck asss bro. im sureee it taste like merch i bet any money. oh and my buds under my led are gunna taste like poop and weight like 1 gram

wow all i have to say is you are ignorant and i wish i could boot u from this thread.. thanks for completely ruining it.. Im out..

ya dude he did a sick job.. If i was given a bunch of LED for free to test Id def. use them. But those 4 leds he has would cost 1000s of dollars when he could get the same results with a couple $100 hps

this is from rumple's thread..

Summary:

Prosource's LEDs beat my expectations by a mile. I used to believe it did not matter how many watts of LEDs you put over a plant, it would come out undersized and deformed (big top with no bottom). I was wrong about this and apologizes (ok, I said it). On the other hand, the LEDs did not live up to their wild advertisement's and unbelievable claims of being able to beat larger HIDs. In fact they seemed to be unable to match the HIDs "watt for watt" output. Now I am glad we did the test the way we did it and not used less wattage.

I was impressed on how cool the units actually are and the advantages that come from this. Folks told me CFLs are cool, but compared to the LEDs they are no match. I still needed to ventilate to keep the heat from building, but the sound of my cooling system engaging became a rare occurrence. I saved a ton of compressed CO2 on this grow , this is a huge selling point for me.

Pros:
  • LESS HEAT! (a lot less)
  • Compact design
  • Low maintenance (never change a bulb)
  • Better for the veg cycle (more branches)
  • Easy to hang (balanced right out of the box)
  • Secure mounting (heavy duty wire leaders and clip)
  • Good packaging
  • Easy to clean.
  • No noise
  • Long power cord (forgot to measure it)
  • Plugs into normal wall outlet (no ballast required or special plugs)
Cons:
  • PRICE! ($700 each... Come on.)
  • Less yield at harvest
  • Not a good choice for the flowering cycle (smaller lighter buds)
  • Untrue comparisons to HIDs in the advertisements and literature.
  • Did I say price?
The "Question"........ What would I use if all lights came at the same price?

even he says theyre not worth it^^^

Do you know who Rumpleforeskin is ? If you do, then you know to trust him !! If you don't know who he is, then check this out !!

Very impressive LED grow. One of the best I've seen.

But $700 a pop for those lights? Wowzers.

And he even admits they aren't ideal for flowering since the yield is compromised and the buds are lighter. Definite props, though.

:hump:No one can mess with my led grow! First pic is my led misty, the second is my 1 watt led grow. I even grew the pipe! Jk.:bigjoint:

This is my first grow and i decided to go with 90 watt UFO 4 spectrum. I'm 17 days into flowering. Using three part nutes from advanced nutrients.

looks decent but very stretched u should get some cfls to add to it.. or a HID.. looks like the main stalk is VERY thin and when/ if it buds it wont be able to support the weight..i had a somewhat similar problem.. my buds were weighing my entire plant to one side.. not a bad problem to have though ;)

Rump says; LEDs seem as effective as a HID lamp for veg, as long as it is the same wattage.

Because of that I will never be sold on led's unless the prices were the same as HID's.

The only benefit I see with led's for veg is a little less heat, other than that why bother with them. I can fit a 150watt hps in my mama tent. A 150watt led panel is to big.

Hps wins !! :hump:

If I ever have to take a 3 month sailing trip, I'll go buy LED's...Until technology progresses, it's poop. Oh, by the way, did the salesman at the garden store mention the light fade? Yes, LED's last a long time, but only 60,000-100,000 hours. My T5's last 10,000 hours, but I can get more bulbs...Just poop.

yeah it actually started streaching after i put the light to 12/12... the plant is actually a hermie., im letting it finish for seeds then i'll try again with an added ufo possibly a 120 watt.:-|
