prozac and marijuana interaction?

theres more to it then prozac and weed i know it shouldnt cause and issue however if youre taking prozac with any other anti depressant its probably not the best idea it depends on a person to person basis such as say im taking prozac because of anxiety and i smoke weed which could lead to an anxiety attack or extreme paranoia however having said that ive checked on medical websites you should be fine its really on your own personal basis weed is usually okay with anything
from asprin to midol ( lol for the ladies hehe)

you must remember prozac is a mood altering medicine and so is weed take that into account i would ask your doctor i know asking thos fourm is also a good idea, also googling and filtering through the biased answers that weed is a terrible thing blh blah balh i would strongly recommend you ask your doctor , because
1. he has a confidentiality to keep that you smoke weed a secret from your parents cops ect
2. he prob will know the answer and give it to you straight he wont be biased and say wee dis bad for you he'll cut the shit and tell you straight up this also helps since he knows you medically

So I have to ask... Have you had a chance to try the two drugs together? Have you had a bad personal reaction to taking your Prozac and smoking a joint? Or any reactions at all?
I ask because I too have just started Prozac.... Today is my first day 10mg once a day and I really don't wanna stop smoking MJ At All!! Please let me know what kind of experience you have thanks bud

I've only found 1 drug where pot conflicts, an older anti depressant of the class "Tricyclic" which aren't used for depression anymore but work well for nerve pain, blocking the receptors in the brain that feel nerve pain. It exaggerated every bad side effect of MJ that I never had before like confusion, paranoia, insane dry mouth, etc and I read on pubmed of cases of delirium and stuff.
