Prune before flower

Hi,

Im about to switch to flower in a week. Anything I should do such as pruning or defoliation before I switch?

I’ve already lollipopped all growth below the 4 node from the top. I also removed smaller/lower branching that didn’t seem like it was going to make it to the top.

here are my questions...

1. did I prune/ lollipop correctly? If not, what did I do wrong.
2. Should prune or defoliate more before switch?
3. Should I prune anything. After switch?
4. am I good to make the switch?

Looking great. I wouldn't make any more changes to the plant before flipping.

Agreed. They look good. I'd flip the lip up on the pot and fill it with more soil tho.

Why not instead of defoliating.. just bend all 4 branches away from the center? This will get light straight down the center to the other leaves currently in the shade. This way there's no interruptions in growth possible.

I can’t bend them they are already hard. The only soft tissue isn’t very long. Should I can super crop to bend them? I think both options will extend my veg cycle?

Also hoping the flower stretch will allow the leaves not to be as dense at specific points

Super cropping can help you there. If the stem is too thick to pinch, use a pair of padded pliers.. just be careful.

Kind of too nervous. If I was to do it. Where on each main stem would I pinch for the most benefit?

Yeah it looks like it'd be hard to super crop those at this point.

I wouldn't bother flipping up the cloth pot edge and adding medium. I most definitely recommend not doing that again on the next grow. Less medium = less roots = less yield.

Yeah the soil ended up compressing more then I anticipated after watering. Will make sure on next run

On the curve that starts pointing your branches upward. (The elbow) be sure to be prepared to support them in the position you want them in.

I'd go pretty low, bend over anything sticking up to the same level. Definitely would have been too nervous to try this though even just a few grows ago.

Your plant looks super healthy and doubt there is much you could do to really hurt it other than completely breaking a branch off.

How long ago did you do your lollipoping?

I personally waited a week after doing all that to allow the plant to recuperate before flipping.

Same deal for my outdoor plants during the summer. I do it all way before the sun flips my shit

About 5 days ago. I’m planning my flip in 7 days. So it would of had about 12 days to recover

I’m going to pass on super cropping this time around. I did use these orange lst things to bend the lowest secondary shoots out. Hoping that will spread her out a bit.

Those plants are pretty small. I'd wait a week or 2 before flipping. The node spacing is incredibly tight. I'd give less light in veg next time.
As for defoliation I would only remove leaves for a specific reason such as multiple leaves on top of each other or blocking lots of lower buds. Leaves are the solar panels and nutrient reserves of the plant. You did a good job cleaning up the bottom. This is a good practice as nothing down there would get enough light to amount to much. You are gonna be surprised how many of those lower and middle tops make a run for the canopy. Let the stretch finish and cut the branches that didn't make it to the canopy. Leave healthy leaves alone. They help not hurt the plants.
