Pruning during flowering help

Hi All,

I have 2 plants from decent bag weed. both are stretched a bit due to only using 2 x 125w CFL (one cool, one warm). I am in week 5 of flowering and have not trimmed the plants at all really during the entire veg/flower. My question is that i have noticed the small lower branches (that have small buds on them) have seemed to all but quit growing and the red hairs are there but no new white ones. There are new white hairs all over on the colas but nothing new on these lower branches. I believe I should have trimmed the bottom 1/3 of the plants but am now at week 5. Am I too late and should just ride the ride? Should I get rid of the little shit towards the bottom? sorry no new pics yet.

right on. thank you for the input. yeah more light is definatley needed! my biggest concern is sucking energy that could be put in the colas and using it on the lower buds that have quit producing white hairs. thanks again for the replys.

thanks for that. the way i have been going, i have the 125w warm on top and another vertical fixture right in front (i turn the plants once a day to accomodate). the vertical 125w cool is about 14" long and seems to hit the bottom but it sounds as though i still need more. what will be the demise of the little buds at the bottom that arent growing new white hairs anymore?

right on. i will get them today. i wasnt sure if they would quit (or did quit) because of the red hairs and no new growth. thanks on3tim3 for your quick answers!

yeah, you are right about the burn. lost a few that way with the vertical light standing in front. for cfl's the 125 watters can be friggin hot. what is this about the radio waves from them though? props on3tim3

lol they play with your speakers (your speakers pick out the radio waves)
which is able to fuck shit up ...
lol it hasnt been appoved to fuck up the plant tho .but you will hear weird ass shit coming from the speakers

yeah i cant afford to lose any intensity at all. my bose speakers have a hum .... hadnt put that together?! the ones we got were from worms way in the u.s. being a noob sucks but i guess its way better than the alternative! thanks for the linky. i think i am starting to see the "hid" way.

goddamn bro, that has to be the tip of the day for me cause i am starting to get pissed at this cfl shit. i am running 250w worth of cfl now, are you saying i could replace that for a 70w hps flood?

Yh For show a 70w hps will grow much bigger buds than a cfl But it you keep the cfl than it will grow more in VEG

you got reps now. i had to figure out how to do it. i am looking over th 70w hps bulbs from the link you sent. i can keep those cfls for the veg as you said but those 70w hps are cheaper than what i have now. i have over $100 just in those 2 bulbs that arent very impressive. much obliged for the help.
