Should I clip a few of these fan leaves, or is it too soon? The plant is 3 an a half weeks old.

Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If it were mine, I wouldn't trim anything at the point your're at.

Ok, well I'm not sure if I know enough about any of the techniques to do much with it right now. I just wanted to make sure the fan leaves aren't blocking the other leaves an thats why they are so small, and on the inside of the plant. Thanks, I'll take ur word on it. I feel it's too soon yet.

Each place where little leaves are coming out of the main stem is going to be a new branch. Depending on what you want to do, you can train those branches out, so the plant covers a larger area...you could make clones out of the branches...or a lot of other things.
