Sorry to burst bubbles, ive never heard of brain damage from either pcp or ket.

HOWEVER, long term ketamine use is beginning to demonstrate urinary problems. Cysts or growth (evidently not cancer) in the bladder.

I imagine it is likely confined to big users. Possibly fairly short terms of abuse.

But think about it. Can many really use ketamine relentlessly for years? It is fantastic but the boundaries are easily explored. After that its like pulp fiction, great movie but once a year is plenty.

Some studies found that, like other NMDA receptor antagonists, phencyclidine can cause a kind of brain damage called Olney's lesions in rats.[27][28] Studies conducted on rats showed that high doses of the NMDA receptor antagonist dizocilpine caused reversible vacuoles to form in certain regions of the rats' brains. All studies of Olney's lesions have only been performed on non-human animals and may not apply to humans. One unpublished study by Frank Sharp reportedly showed no damage by the NDMA antagonist, ketamine, a similar drug, far beyond recreational doses,[29] but due to the study never having been published, its validity is highly controversial.

Rats. Maybe people, maybe not.

i feel the same way about a few drugs, not really a high potential for abuse imvho, as they're just not really that euphoric ime, and like you mentioned, once you've done it a few times, nothing really new to see.. but i guess there's a few people out there who do abuse them, but i'd imagine they're the minority..

Is this the only place where truth about drugs, good or bad, is regularly dispensed?

No one is claiming any of the dissiciatives discussed are good for you or even benign.

It is probably not good for you to take any recreational psychoactive at all.

It might, possibly benefit some people some times to take some hallucinogens but you dont know if you are one of those people in one of those occasions until after you are commited to the act.

My drug is no better than yours, yours is no more perfect than mine.

Oh, and a high ld50 is not a measure of a safe substance.

Im in a bad mood, can you tell? Drugs stopped me from seeing one of my oldest heros today.

I will never get that chance again. The drug is not illegal and i am not the user.

We all have demons and secret issues.

All of which are frequently seen with any drug users are prone to binge on. I'm not calling them healthy by any stretch of the imagination but nothing on the media image of PCP.

They're generally very good about their bibliography. I'd look for t papers they reference.

yeah i did get a bit brain washed on the media's perspective on pcp i guess haha, they once said weed made ppl go crazy and one joint was harmful as a pack of cigs lol, yes because a "joint" is accurate measurement for an amount

"Sorry about your mood. For every upside drugs have their is a downside" i don't follow :-?

ppl think long term weed use causes brain damage but i've seen ppl what been smoking weed for 30+ years and they're perfectly normal, but i know of somebody what was an alcoholic for 10 or 15 years and you can tell by the looks of him that he has brain damage
If that's how they diagnose brain damage then I've been playing Dr.psychiatrist with everyone ive layed eyes on..and yes, most were afflicted
