we usually puff puff puff maybe puff again and give,

but i get real ancy if somone holding it too long and I aint had my fix yet.

thats when you tell them to "pass the microphone"

cuz some people try to use the joint like a microphone

seem to just talk and talk as soon as they get the joint.

personally in a large group it tends to be puff puff pass, but if its just me and a few friends you hit it until you feel like passing it - to an extent

but really if you are god looking down on the circle and u see the guy at 12 pass the joint to the left. it is going to the right if you are looking down on the circle or even watching someone at 12 oclock passing it and you are at 6 oclock!!

but in the sense of actual clock if you are looking at it from 3 pm t0 9 pm the clock turns left, but from 9pm back to 3am it will go right!!

im going to lay it out for you in the simplest possible terms
picture this.
the JOINT is the hand on the clock and people are the numbers.
The JOINT is going to the right but in order for it to go right the people standing in a circle need to pass it to THEIR left.

Yes you can take this and spin it from a different angle but the argument was a logical stoner circle (meaning you are standing facing eachother in a circle)

its okay, the only reason i brought it up was this

every session ive been at was previously described, i cant remember who said it, but one in a couch, one in an arm chair, several scattered... but this never really effected the "clockwise rotation" of it going to the right, starting with the left most person..when the bong or pipe was recieved farthest right, it was then returned to the left...i didnt take the circle into account until everyone was ONLY seeing a circle scenario...so i too couldnt let it die :)

Dude I understand what you're saying but it doesn't matter how the ring is shaped as long as it goes in some sort of fucked up ring in order to make the pipe or joint or blunt go around clock wise you have to pass it left. If you pass it right the smoking device goes counterclockwise

even if theres people sitting in a line and the pipe goes from the last person back to the first it is still clockwise if its being passed left and counter clockwise if its going right

i think he is pulling your chain about the clockwise=right stuff. it is only going right if you are viewing from the center of the circle. if you are part of the circle, you are passing left.

ie when a doctor refers to lefts and rights, he refers to side by the patients view, not the doctor's view.

normaly its about like yours unless its supergrass and a whole lot more than a few ppl then its 1-2 hits each till its toast

ok here it goes.

the circles are people, the cones are pov. starting from the left, going clockwise to the right.


The man on the left starts with the pipe. going right is going clockwise, by definition. they are all facing foward, so passing to the the left is not an option. when it gets to the man on the right, he gives it to the man on the left.

You proved my point with that diagram. if the guy on the left were to pass it right then the smoke would be going counter clockwise.
