Purple Cheddar 400w Hempy Grow

Heres my 1st go round with a hempy bucket growing Connieseur Genetics Purple Cheddar(fem). Ill be using my 400w MH/HPS, my bucket is a 5 gal pail with my perilte/vermiculite mix with 2 inches of soil on top wear i started my seed. I topped at 3 weeks later than i normally do but i was away for work then did some LST.

Ive only grown in soil before but so far so good i think i may be having a ph issue tho some of the leaves are curling up into themselves but they arent discolored allthough i do have a tiny bit of nute burn on a few lower leaves.I will be switching to flower soon and will be doing a good flush in between.
She is about 5 weeks from seed

Looks like a few are starting to show signs of light stress. but could just be me. Looks good either way. I usually veg mine in a hempy style bucket (more of a recent thing) and they grow quicker to the height i like em before switching to 12/12. Then its regular old DWC buckets.

i was thinking it may be light stress too i have moved it up some. They do grow quick in these buckets

Hey! I LOVE the last harvest and this grow...

I notice you are using HPS...I have 500 of CFL. Any reason for HPS as compared to CFL?

Im using my MH for veg will be using HPS for flower...the reason I use high intensity discharge(HID) bulbs is because they give of a more intense light an cover more area. I used cfls by 1st grow an they worked good to but I prefer this way less bulbs an a better yeild(generally I've seen great cfl grows but you havta but more effort into it)

some ppl also use LEDs and ceramic metal halides but I've never tried either of them...it all comes down to what works best for you

pics are few days old now about the start of week 5 on these pics

showing a few issues with nutes but its hard to manage being gone alot for work

very stinky and sticky up close have started adding AN overdrive and upping my sugar daddy levels will prob be doing a flush tomorow then feeding for awhile again before my final flushing

What nutrients are you feeding with?
Hey man I'm tryin to get stared on my own hempy grow since I've been inspiered to do so by the looks of many growers doing the hempu style grow so I wana try it although I. Need help deciding what nutrients would go right I want something organic were my weed taste tasty at the end not as chemmy as with other nutrients like dyna gro, and also not as many nutrient bottles required like advance nutrients.would gh flora series 3 part work for me?

Ive never grown organic so i cant really help you there but if you flush your weed properly you wont have chemmy tasting weed i never have. Im sure gh 3 part would work fine never used it myself i have mainly used technaflora nutes they have a 3 part grow/bloom/boost and then i have a few other things i add in but they are not asoultly nessessary at all.

How far up on the bucket did you drill the drain hole? How long was your veg period in total?
