Purple City Genetics - BUYERS BEWARE

Hi guys,

I just wanted to share my experience with this particular company which recently launch an EU site for all us EU customers looking to get seeds that bit easier. Well that's what Purple City Genetics California says on their social feeds!

I noticed that PCG had a big drop on another big US seed bank and so I looked into them a bit a really liked what a saw. So i found the international site (their Spanish site) and made my first order.

1 x Strawnana and Kush Mints
1 x Mac1 and Purple Punch
1 x Watermelon Skittlez and Watermelone Skittlez

Their website said that they used 24 to 48 hour delivery and that there might be a slight delay due to Covid-19 etc.

I paid on the 8th of April and waited, and waited and waited. I had no dispatch email, no tracking details no nothing so after two weeks I contacted PCG to ask what was going on.

I received a reply saying that my items would be delivered by Saturday 25th April with tracking details that did not work! So I waited the next few days until that date. Saturday came and went and no delivery. So i sent them another email asking was going on?

I received a reply back saying this and I quote. "I have just spoken to the delivery company and they told me that the item was delivered on the 22nd of April. I now consider this matter closed". Now the 22nd was the day I had emailed them again!

At this point I went batshit crazy at this guy on email and I have started a refund procedure using PayPal. These people offered no working tracking details, they wasted my time and took my money, whilst simply feeding me rubbish and lies.

I really hope someone a little more honest at PURPLE CITY GENETICS in the US looks into this and stops these people running their business into the ground!

No tracking details
No reasonable replies or answers
No professionalism
No respect for new customers

Telling me I have received the item without any proof whatsoever is a complete joke! These people are crooks as far as I am concerned and I will be posting and sharing my experience with them until someone from PCG grows a pair and deals with this situation.

Its not right to take your customers money, then waste their time and energy trying to get what they have already paid for!

Anyhow I just wanted to share my personal experience with them.

To PCG please Learn how honest people do business please and stop sending out BS tracking details. Thanks
 
I just heard back from PayPal giving me a full refund in less than 24 hours!

This alone should help show what sort of company they are. PayPal have either already had a string of complaints or this company offered no proof of delivery whatsoever. Either way be careful ordering from them and never use the direct bank transfer option! If i had I would have never had my money returned to me.

Sorry to have to post such a negative review but what the hell are they doing, this whole situation has been handled terribly from the start to the very end. Such a waste of time and energy.

How did they determine your package was delivered? It had to have been scanned in order to show that so there must be some kind of shipping info...at least on their end. Have you check your yard or out around your home for the package? UPS once delivered a package and left in my garage on top of a wood pile. Took me days to find it.
Or maybe check with your neighbors?

I know with most online merchants, if a package shows "delivered" there's very little recourse for the buyer.

Hopefully others will chime in and lend some info regarding their shipping and notification methods. Also, with Covid19 shipping is extremely slow and unreliable right now.
Involving PayPal is...I dunno. I'm going to leave that one alone. Shipping seeds is against PayPals TOS and they'll freeze or shut accounts down over seed/clone transaction, which could have negative effects on not only the company but the other customers.

Everyone has basically been stuck at home for the last five weeks so there was no way any attempt at a delivery was made because I have been home the whole time with a full view of anyone coming to the property.

At best someone there who I will not name is either very incompetent at their job and just sent the items out using a non traceable package?

Either way my experience has not been pleasant and I'm pissed at myself for how angry I became with this guy, telling me he considered the matter now closed, whats done is done I suppose.

Anytime. I've never dealt with PCG but it sounds like they have some work to do on the customer service end.
Hopefully you can still those genetics from another bank or at least something very similar.

I can't speak to online purchases from PCG. I bought 5 beans from a local dispensary. I popped two seeds from them this year (forbidden fruit x watermelon zkittles) to grow outdoors. Healthy! I'm saving the other 3 for an indoor grow this winter. They are based in Oakland, CA and their local rep is they have good genetics.
According to world population studies, approximately 108 billion people have lived on this planet. Assuming that the average lifespan of all these people was 25, there has been around 2.7 trillion years of life, if we multiply this by the number of days in a year ( 365 ), there is a total of 985,500,000,000,000 days of life (985.5 trillion days ). Not once in any of those days did anybody ask

OK so i get home today and low and behold the package that I ordered months ago was sitting on my doorstep! This is the very same package that I was told had been delivered on the 22nd of April earlier this year. The packaging look pretty bad after being in the system all this time and when I opened it only two of the three packs i had ordered were inside. I have no idea why this would be the case because if someone was going to steal one pack they would take the other two right?

Anyhow my package is here minus one pack and I am feeling pretty conflicted as to what to do next. Do i send the two packs back to Purple City Genetics or just send a payment for them to PCG int?

I still feel my issue was handled very badly but I do not want to rip anyone off here and I am feeling bad about this threads title.

Just wanted to set the record straight. If anyone from PCG sees this then guys what the hell were you on about when you told me my package had been delivered and that you considered this matter closed! Clearly it had not been delivered because i have literally just received it today on the 12th June 3 months after ordering.

Sorry for this post and I will try and get it changed or removed if that is possible

Kind of a lot of effort for a knuckle slap, but duly noted. In the future I will keep to topic and be more precise. Grouchy much?

Hi, From PCG Int we have done our best to overcome difficulties during this confination period. The 24-48h delivery time is warranted for shipments within Spain, not the whole EU and never outside EU (UK or other coutries). In this case we were only able to set the shipment with a private Spanish delivery service that outsource deliveries to national companies from your country. Following up on your claim we wenen't able to obtain more information than what was given to you. That is, the package was already delivered. From our end, nothing else but a claim over our provider insurance could be done (something that, of course we did). Nevertheless, you claimed us over Pay Pal and we did refund you inmediately, depite knowing that probably sooner or later you will be recieving your package or we will get a resolution of our claim. We can see now that luckyly you have recieved your package and we fell very sorry about the damage it seems it has suffered. We hope that toguether with the two remainig seed packages you have also found the nice PCG t-shirt and some other minor goodies we have been adding to these shippments to compensate the cost of delivery.
Now, knowing that you finally have recieved something, please get in touch with us directly at info@pcg-int.com to address and honestly close this issue. Best wishes, PCG Team

Thank you for your message and I am sorry for how things went down. I was very stressed out in my own life at the time and i just didn't handle the situation very well after being told that my package was delivered. At that point I basically believed that i was being scammed! Again I am very sorry for the way I reacted.

Yes there were some nice extras in the package, thank you.

I wanted to pay for the two packs I had received but there was no longer any option to pay via paypal on the website.

Do you think it has something to do with the chargeback you did?
Its wasn't a chargeback dude, it was a refund because there was no proof of delivery. As to if this was the reason, I honestly have no idea, but I doubt just one refund would result in such a drastic action?

No, a refund would be you returning the beans and getting your money back.
A chargeback is what you did cuz the company never got their beans back did they?
And yes this is the reason most won't do PayPal, or if PayPal finds out your related to cannabis then they will hold your money. Sellers don't like people doing chargebacks after they sent out their gear.

Sounds like whoever was the shipper -UPS or USPS opened your package and probably stole a pack of seeds..Scanned it as “delivered” and misplaced it somewhere

Damn so dude did a charge back,got their paypal shut down,still got the seeds,then went ghost and didn’t pay for them after claiming he felt bad and wanted to pay but the option to pay with paypal was gone? LOL

now i see why alot of banks only take cash or money orders

if you had no intentions on paying why even update the thread saying the seeds came...probably didn’t expect anyone from PCG to post in the thread

Which beans do u suggest for a 5x5 scrog 5 gallon pots
