Purple Fuzz on my bud!

Now I know this is some kind of mold. Seems to be growing in the middle of the main bud. Probably due to airflow getting underneath the gigantic leaves this plant has. I tried to take a picture but couldnt get a good one while the light is on. This plant grows one huge dense cola and I noticed it starting to happen last harvest of this strain. I have 3 other plants of this strain in the same flowering period but have not noticed any on them. This is the biggest one of the 4. I might cut it in less then a week. I started flushing my system about 5 days ago soo probably another week before I cut any.

This is a really nice strain, but it would be a shame to have to get rid of it because of this problem.
Now you can tell me my humidity is too high or my temps are off but that is not the case. It just seems this strain is susceptible to mold.(if i am saying that correctly). My humidity stays between 25-30% and my temps are 65 on between 75-80 on.

Now my question is should I cut this plant earlier then I was gonna?
Also how serious is this type of mold?

I cut the leaves around it to go some airflow to the infected area. I will be wasting the molded buds or using it for hash.(probably hash).

get a fan blowing around the leaves from below ... poor air flow causes molds .. might save a lot of your plant ..

A fan will spread mold spores around the room. I recommend first cutting away the affected area removing all traces of mold to prevent further spread. Clean the grow room surrounding it, correct ventilation humidity and air circulation and keep a very close eye on the situation. It can pop back up really quick on ya.

I've chucked a heartbreaking amount of great bud in the toilet before, it sucks. Good luck.

Thanks for the info. I cut the infected parts out. Doesnt seem to be to much of the bud. Probably about 3 grams I cut off. I also have a fan blowing up at the plants now also.
