Purple Kush from Vancouver

Wassup guys and gals,

I'm back it's dr. green and it's grow number two. So I had to kind of scrap on growing my own seeds, cause my buddy actually germinated all of the beans (12 of them). So he kept 4 and I got 8 little girly seeds( hoping). So far so good, I started the grow on 9/23/08, and they all sprouted. Atleast right now they are about an inch tall plus. I forgot the feeling of growing, but it's all coming back to me slowly. I'll be taking pictures in a day or two of the progress. So pull up your chairs, and hopefully we'll see some good shit this time around. I want to be able to harvest atleast double my weight last harvest which will be about 4 ounces plus. If anybody got questions on my setup, I think my signature link should take you to my first grow. if not you can ask me. aight. see you guys and gals later.

No takers. Well I guess here come some pics. I atleast got a couple pics before my digital camera died last night. I checked on those little girlies today and they are getting bigger by the day. There's one thing I got a question about, is if my light should go lower. But it seems fine for now. I think I'm going to lower the light after they are about 2 and a half weeks old. If you guys are wondering what type of light I'm using it is a 400W CMH bulb. I like the results with it last grow, so let's see if I can get the same or better again. My new house is much cooler then my old apartment, so that's a major plus for me. Especially for the turning purple part.

Well I'll try to take as much progress pics as possible, so tune in.

But the thing is that i have 8 purple kush seedlings myself. I got 10 seeds from a pound that a "buddy" of mine had. I beleive it because right now he has Grape Ape and these are not too common in my area

The pattern on the leaf seems different than most other plants i have seen. I am not sure what it is but I see a resemblance so please keep the pics coming and I will also to compare

I think our strains are pretty similar. my leaves looked like that. the first set single then the next three, then the next will be five and then five, and looks like a seven finger then set. I'm using a CMH bulb, so my nodes are tighter together. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

well here's the pictures I promised. I will try to do this more often, because this will make the journal better and easier to follow. I often look at journals and ask where's the pictures. But to me the more the merrier. Anyways man those 3 little girlies smell really good. I still have to transplant a few of those small ones into some new dirt. anyways enjoy. :leaf:

HEllo from San Fran, I want to ask your advice on purple kush, I am running indoors for the winter and have an ebb and flow and trying out the house and garden aqua flake nutrients this run. Question: How long on the Veg and how long on the flower? Running 3 x 1000w with an 18 spot... Thanks for your advice!

I'm not to sure on the veg and flowering time but I will definitely achieve a bush again and maybe some fast harvest also. Sorry I don't know what is the time period in months, but if you don't really top your plants or bend our plants then I think it should take about 50 to 60 days veg and 35 to 45 days flowering. I like mines with a really narcotic stone, because it helps the medicinal use better. Sorry if it's not the best advice, but I hope I answered you a little or fully. Good Luck!!!

I just transplanted to of the larger plants last night, because they were rootbound already. Man that was so fast. This CMH bulb creates a really strong root base. Anyway, heres the pictures from today. Those two girlies are so much happier. :mrgreen:

Lookin good. Subscribed.

I've been using bagseed for first couple grows to learn. Now I want to get some good genetics so I'm looking at diferent journals to study the different plant varieties.

I grew up in Coquitlam, graduated at Centenial Senior in '71. Been living in Calgary for last seven months. Miss good old BC ;-)

Wassup here some update pictures, the biggest plant is really taking off in her new big pot. She is fucken booming, and starting to show signs of sex. I'm hoping and thinking she's a female because I see a hair coming out where the femal sepals or something like that with the hair comes out. but we'll see. Man she smells so good, damn my garage smells like heaven every time I open the door. And it's only two plants. I just transplanted all of the little girlies into some new dirt, from your local walmart ( Black Gold) Shit seems some what decent. Anyways, I transplanted one little girly, and she took off, so I did the rest hoping that the rest will recover too. If they do then I think I will have a couple out doors eventually when my fence comes up. damn, I can't wait, the sun over here is fucken mean. They should sky rocket. Anyhow, maybe somebody can help me out with the sex. but just like my last grow you never know until she shows it fully.

I don't know about that strain. but I presume alot of the kush strains are able to produce some good amounts of bud. good luck.
