Purple maroc on last days..Trichome shots

So i have noticed she is starting to bring out her scent and she is feeling super dense. Most of her pistils have turned orange red and brown but still shooting out plenty. How many days before she can go into 36 hours of darkness? Planning to dry the entire plant. Fan leaves and all.

See I'd let the plant go for a while because of personal choice. I enjoy more amber trichs, which I cannot see a lot of from the photos at least, which gives more of that couch lock really "stoned" feeling. It's really what kind of high you want to be aiming for, or where the high will be more concentrated at. Honestly I test little buds at certain points, let them hang dry for the normal 4-7 days, then smoke, uncured, and it gives you a really good idea where you're headed in effect wise.

Again I think the main thing is personal enjoyment.

Thanks Alldaytoker It being sativa Dom I want the best sativa high. I'm thinking of bringing her down when most trichomes are white so when she is curing some can turn red so that it brings out some Cbds but white trichomes are preferred. What do you say, bring her down Tuesday by giving her 36 hour darkness starting Sunday?

i think you should wait a little longer, let the trichs get a little more cloudy. Some of the earlier pics didnt look that cloudy. i see a few pistils that i would want to let orange first before i even think about cutting too. nice grow btw . :weed:

Don't worry about people like rleezx. Just another person thinking their weed is the best.

Anyways, since you are aiming for that sativa high, I'd say wait for at least around 10-20% amber trichs, by then I would think most of the remaining will be well solid cloudy, and the clearer ones cloudier.

But like I said before, the best way to see if YOU like the way it is now, take a bud off, let it hang dry normally, then smoke and see how it is. That's my opinion. If you try to get one around the middle, and no need to take a lot off. But if you feel you want to throw it in the dark right this second, nothing stopping you. It could or could not benefit you. Just learn from the experience if its right or wrong, then next time change or replicate.

Just an example of what I'm talking about is that I was about to chop my plant down a week or so ago, but I decided to chop a little off and let it hang dry. Tried it and if I would of chop the whole plant, I wouldn't of been disappointed, but I would of had regret. Now its still going and I might let it go even another week or two. It sucks to wait at the end towards harvest, but just think of all the time you've waited to get to this point, few more days won't hurt you. And it'll benefit the plant and you in the long run.

yeah man they look about 90-10 i still see clear ones too.. i don't thnk it looks bad at all.. its at its last stages of life..

can you tell me what day its at in flowering? how many lights? are they all CFL?

Thanks Alldaytoker you've provided so much info. I am willing to wait just because I find it more as an amazing experience when I do it. Each plant is different in so many ways. I've been wanting this thread to shoot up or at least to come across someone who is serious. I will keep you posted man. I'll give her till Sunday to shoot some more pics to update.

lol get rid of the tin foil... that's a no-no. but the bud looks great! give it a little more time. it will look ready when it's ready :)

ill second this. paint it white thats the next best this after mylar.

tin foil and mylar is not the same

I'd think tin foil is better then absolutely nothing. I understand the problems with it but still, that or a white wall you'd think tin foil would be better.

no a white wall is a lot better than tin foil!!! i would say, even nothing is better than tin foil!

White wall gives about 90-95% light reflectation and doesnt absorb much heat.

Tin foil reflects mostly heat and create hot spots.

White wall ---> Tin foil

All day everyday

The only reason I have the foil is because I have it stapled to some board where it covers dark colored clothes that are hung k. Te closet. I know dark colors absorb the light but on my next grow I'll get something better. At least now I know it can cause hot spot damage. Thanks you guys peace and happy growing. Wow who would have thought that by being patient youll get rewarded.. I have been wanting to chop her down thinking she is ready but she just seems to be getting BIGGER and bigger every day! I have never experienced this with my previews grows only because i always harvest too early... well not this time you guys.. Here are the pics more updates to come.

She sure looks ready to me now, I'd be chopping her any day now. How are her trichs lookin?

Her trichomes are looking a lot cloudier but not yet where I want them to be at. There is a good amount of clear ones but I wouldn't mind them. Should I put her in the darkness once her lights go out? Or wait till Tuesday update and then stick her into 36hr darkness. Opinions? Thanks Alldaytoker

I'd say wait until you start seeing some amber, like 5%-10% amber then throw her into darkness.
