Setup

All three seeds are feminized and in a single 18 gallon Rubbermaid. I'm using Ionic Grow, Ionic Boost, and Ionic Bloom for my nutrients and the seeds were placed straight into the hydroton after they germinated. This is my third grow, but first using hydroponics so any help/suggestions are appreciated.

They are on their 24th day from sprouting. The lights have been 24/0 so far but i just got a new timer so I'm bumping it down to 18/6. I also just bought another air pump to double the bubbles.

I have about 8' of vertical space so should I even worry about topping? If so, when should I top to get the most yield?

I started 12/12 the other day and they are looking good and loving it. I also added a 30 inch box fan with three settings for some air movement.

Im using a 430 HPS with cfls on the side. Ive taken the 6500K cfls out for now but ill put some 2700K cfls in after the girls get going with their flowering. Ill have some pics up later showing the first signs of pistils on the purple and cali.

Its taken me awhile to get some pics up bc of shitty internet and dead camera batteries. These are 20 days into flowering. Since these are purple strains does anyone have any tips to increase the purple? I know it needs to be somewhat cold at night (im hovering around 65 at night) but I would like to hear some other techniques.
