Purple Stems, Strain related or problem? plus other issues

Hello experts of the growing world, I am not among you, I am merely a beginner. That aside, I'm attempting my first real grow, it is a dwc set up. The plant is a sativa strain, not exactly sure what strain, I received it from my dad who received the clones he gave me along with the mother from one of his friends, so I know it has good genetics. Before I received these clones I had a few bagseed plants going, it had the same set up as the clones, it took three of the bagseed plants about a week and a half to suck up 2 gallons of water, it took these clones about 3 days, so I was not expecting to wake up one morning to wilting plants and a dry reservoir, I managed to save them, have clipped most of the deadness off, and they seem to be growing alright, but I've noticed in the past few days that the stem and branches have started turning a purple color, it's gotten slightly better in the last day or so, but it still concerns me. I also have multiple symptoms of possible deficiencies in the leaves, so can someone take a look and help me out?

p.s. I'm pretty sure I have some root rot goin on, any advice?
p.p.s. Is there an easier way to upload pics than havin to upload them to another site then linking to this one? one at a time?
