Purple Stems

ive been told a big enough drop in temp between your night and day cycles can bring out the purple in MJ.
From what i have read on other posts the temp drop thing is referring to the actual bud in flowering but it only happens to certain strains!

I have heard that too, but I have also heard that when the stems start getting purple it could be environmental or genetics. I am still unsure, that's why I am looking for opinions.

no, it affects the stems and leaves too. its a P build up as the plant is holding it as it is unable to absorb it because cold temps lock out P

those are great temps! whats the night temps. takes like a 15 degree drop and rise to really show. yeah i run my room up to 90 because i have co2 i keep the temps around 78-85 during the day and 60-70 at night. i have a purple strain right now i really want to see the purple come out of and my widow strain looks 10x better since i have begun doing this its a much whiter/lighter color now. waiting to see if my blue cheese gives me some colors and you wont really see any colors in veg beside those one the stem or unwanted ones

its def your phosphorus... but like everyone else said your plants still look great so not too much of a concern... i normally only see purple stems early in my ladies life cycles... 2 weeks into to flowering and not a purple stem in sight (guess shes to busy taking in all that nitrogen)... i also know that purple stems can be a genetic thing... so yea dont start worrying too much... and like ive always been told less is more and more is less so just be careful not to do too much to try to fix a problem that really isnt a problem... oh and nitrogen levels causing purple stems is as bout as ignorant as saying urinating in your soil will help your plants lmao (oh yea someone has a thread actually talking about it lmao)...

NICE SLANTY. what strain? good example of genetic perpleing. see how the spread of the pruple is everywhere? thats a sure sign of purp genetics. a plant color changed by temp would have purple mainly focused on buds and as you can see there is no defincieney in his plants(you can tell by the shape and size of leaves).

some good purlpe bud you got going there man

Skunk crossed with Deep Chunk. I have been warned that I may need to purchase a bigger filter for that strain!
