What does a purple striped stem mean?

You need phosphorus and a little bit of potassium most likely.

Well, it was purple ever since it was a baby so idk. It's not all purple and it's a kind of shaded medium dark purple. A little is on the node too, but barely visible.

id say its just tepm probs.
my stems turn red and purple depending on the temps.
i wouldnt worry.
pics would help?.

one of my plants also has that, it cant be temp and only 1 out of my 4 plants has purple stripes and purple centers of the leaves...is it just the strain?

That can be strain specific.... If the plant is growing well..leave it...as for baby plants having any deficiency... Light is the only one that really affects seedlings...
