Purple Trichomes?

Nirvana OG Kush photoperiods in Coco under an HLG 550 V2, in week 9 of flower. Some nice sized colas but I've had foxtailing, or whatever the "spires" are called in the first two photos. The trichome photo is from a small piece of a calyx about half way down one of the big buds. Are the trichomes themselves filling with purple resin? That's what it looks like to me but I'm not very experienced.

Not experienced enough to give an opinion other than they look beautiful. Love the purple.

They look done to me, generally purple is anthocyanin or one of its related compounds and a stress reaction in most strains.

Dinafem Purps#1 gives the purple trichomes aint they just lovely.

I've experienced this a few times myself where the trichs start to change to purple. I find it fascinating personally. I dont think it coincides with potency, but it is beautiful to look at.
