purple urkle and gsc grow

Was trying to hold up one of my branches with a piece of string and it crumpled over. It's got milky trichs and brown hairs but should of went longer. Still stoked to see how it smokes.

Harvest time is kinda exciting. When I first started growing, I always harvested too soon. Impatient to smoke some. I've notived an occasional plant will do some odd things during the final stages of flowering. Foxtailing and odd growth. So just hang in there.

Are you planning a final flush? Just curious regarding your broken plant. If you can prop it up long enough to flush it, it probably will be better smoke. But with all cloudy trichs...cutting it right now should be fine too...just give it a slow dry and a cure.

I'm super stoked to harvest the GSC and the purple urkle, just gotta give it some time to finish up. It looks like the tops are revegging, I've never seen it before and don't really get why it's doing it.
I was gonna pick up some florakleen for the final week than give it a 5 day flush or so than 5 days of darkness but that prob won't be for another 2 weeks or so.

Liking the grow. Have you ever thought of maintaining your own mother plants to cut your veg time? I'm sorta in the middle of a test run for my system, I say sorta cause I dont have all my equipment (lost my job before I could grab it all). i was just wondering if maintaining mothers was to much of a burden, I see a lot of people getting their cuttings elsewhere instead of them having a mother plant. Nice work btw, wish my plant was as far as yours, it's like 21 days from seed. thanks for thd insparation.

I've been really wanting to get a mother going but the old lady doesn't want me taking up any more space for weed related things. We have a two bedroom and I have about half of the second bedroom for my tent and mini closet grow and she has the other half of the room lol. I'm still trying to convince her that it would benefit us greatly to get a mother plant going. Ah damn man sorry to hear that. What system are you running? This is my second grow and my first was soil and I had no idea what I was doing and failed horribly so I switched to hydro this time and everything is so simple. Thanks man, I'm pretty stoked for the GSC to finish up, I think today is day 59 or 60, and than the purple urkle and the purple diesel will be some damn good smoke. My next strain will prob be northern lights or something with some big colas. Your plant will get there before you know it

Yeah having mothers is extra maintenance but worth it. I have 3 moms in dwc.

I wish I had the room to keep some mothers so I could get a perpetual grow going. One day lol. Sorry I haven't been on here too much, been working a ton and barely have time for my plants let alone updating. But today is day 71 I believe. I chopped down 3 of my purple urkle plants and will be chopping the other two around Friday than the GSC will probably be after the weekend or most of the plant come Friday. I'm getting some really weird growth on a couple of my main colas. They seemed like they were revegging and I'm actually getting new growth/buds on those spots. Kinda blows my mind that it's adding all this structure when it's just about time to chop it down. This first picture is the biggest cola with a decent size extra cola growing off of the top of it. Anyone else seen this kind of thing on their GSC plant?

Some thoughts on strains... For my next run I was thinking about going with northern lights or purple punch or critical kush or 47. Has anyone grown these strains out and could give me some advice on pros and cons or why not to grow them? I'm kind of limited on height and would like a heavier yielding plant, i only have about 30-36" between my tray and light so I gotta keep them smaller but I'm gonna try to get about 15-18 in my 3x3 tray (40"x40")

Been pretty busy lately and haven't had a chance to get on here and give any updates but I finally chopped all the girls down about two weeks ago. I got just over 6 ounces off of my Girl Scout cookie plant and just shy of an ounce each with the urkles so not too bad for my first hydro run.


I ended up going with purple diesel for the next run as I wasn't able to get northern lights, deff going to do those my next run, but I went with 16 this time. Fills out the table a lot better and they're all the same height so I won't have one monster and a bunch of little guys. Hopefully get a decent yield this run, I really like smoking the indicas and the purple diesel has a pretty nice aroma. Had anyone else ran purple diesel? How was your yield? How long was your veg? I was thinking of a 4 week veg but I'm going to flip them when they get to about 15" maybe a tad more but I only have about 40-42" of plant height from root to main cola but I'll too so a couple main colas.

theres also critical 47 a mix between critical mass and ak47

ive grown critical kush and out of 5 i had 2 good yielders. pretty easy plants to grow, good smoke, and they can be pretty stinky when growing. ive got a critical 47 vegging now (seems like its vegging slow). also have querkle which is purple urkle x space queen(one of these grew 2x faster than all my other plants and turned out to be female) they are just starting to flower.

heres some critical kush i put a screen over 7 weeks into flower now.



so if you would just set up a scrog you would have no problem with the height.

I read up on that quite a bit and I looked around for that or critical kush but they didn't have either so I went with the diesel. I deff wanna do northern lights but the critical strains are gonna be a must after the NL. Ooh nice, I didn't get to veg my urkles as long as I wanted cause my GSC got so damn big lol.
Those thing look awesome! I like how the buds look like tennis balls. Those will be some good yielders.

yeah all those buds are bigger than 20 oz drink bottles for the most part.

heres the querkle that grew really fast

besides that i got 7/8 sour and blue dream in there together.

also i noticed that querkle fan leaves grow all crazy and shoot way out of the plant lol.

Damn those things are huge! They just looked like standard colas but they're big next to that water bottle. Good job on the grow man. Ya the urkle side of the querkle is a little slow but the other strain speeds it up. I'm deff doing a critical strain after I do NL next run. I really like the way the main colas look/grow. Props man.

So it's been a while since I updated a pic of my purple punch but she's doing great, been flowering for a while now and finally starting to get a ton of crystals and stinking up. I'm hoping to only have about 3-4 weeks left, I really hope to get atleast 1 ounce and deff gonna toss another plant in my stealth cabinet. I know I have a tent but I really like the idea of keeping a plant small and training if. Trying to gain all the experience.

Hey what's up RIU, there hasn't been much going on with the purple diesel so I haven't been updating too much. This is the start of week 3 of veg and they're coming along quite nicely. Just got my new digilux hps in so I'll prob start flowering this evening or the weekend. The ladies are about 9" some about 10" and as I don't have too much head room I don't want the sativa side coming out too much.

I started the GSC out as beans instead of clones like the urkle and the GSC took off and just added height and girth fast. This grow should be a bit better and I finally talked the old lady into letting me get a bigger tent so after this grow I'm gonna be switching to a 4x8 instead.

Wich tent are you going to get? Regardless you'll like the more space as I have a gorilla grow tent 4X8.
