Lets say his book is written by a top cannabis scientist? How can it be automatically be wrong? There may be good reason it makes smoke smoother or maybe increase a %. Who knows? He is telling you he thinks it works for him.
Then show the science? Currently, the only scientific studies I've seen have been refuting the myth.

There's no such thing as a cannabis scientist. It's automatically wrong because scientific testing has shown that it doesn't given any extra benefits. Most likely the book he's referring to was written from an old stoner. Just because you believe something doesn't make it true.

Now, can anyone help with my purple plants above pls?
Do you pH your feed?

More information about what your nutrients contain would be helpful but don't seem to be available on the web on the web.

Sounds like you're just feeding it whatever you have on hand. If so consider a well rounded nutrient line.

Thanks. Fair comment. I have most things to hand but try to stick to BIO-something. Use formulex for foliar and other things like calmg, rhizo and bloom enhancers, not too much. I try to mix it up a bit and alternate between feeding and ph'd water. try not to overwater. 6.5 pH for nutrients but testing run off im lazy while all looks good. Its often about 4 weeks into flowering and not that bad but effects yield and potency. had rust spots on plants but this is a new one I think. With two plants I try to give them VIP, transitioning feeding at flowering etc. waste of time that is!

I will flush if gets any worse. It looks like a classic case of something! Phosphorus would be my 1st choice. Yous?

Sounds like the first problem is the lack of a consistent well rounded nutritional feed. It's going to be impossible to tell what the actual issue is when you are consistently changing things.

I definitely wouldn't be foliar spraying anything in flower.

If you're looking to improve your grow I'd suggest like before, getting well rounded base nutrients and feed just those. I'd feed every watering, there's no need to alternate with plain water. I'd also suggest getting meters to measure your feed strength and pH.

Trust me I am all over it like a rash! I thought it could be soil, not shaking nutrients, a better pH meter, calmag, you name it. I add bonemeal and good bacteria to soil, good drainage; its a smallish pot maybe. perhaps I didn't pH 1 watering? I know how much pH down to add. boy have I tried and take your advice on board.
I would stick to a particular regime if I found one that always worked. So I add a bit of 1 or 2ml formulex as a safety measure.

with this one its mainly annoyance that it is not a perfect grow again ....

Not much has changed maybe a bit better. My foliar is fine mist folled by good fan dry. they get a blast every 3 hours anyway and humidity is c50% or less. I am very careful with mould having had a couple of outdoor mares.IMG_1397[1].JPG

I’m sure it helps I could be wrong but it’s something I only amend outdoors at the end of season and sometimes before.

Get some gaia 444 or craft blend for veg. Gaia 284, or build a flower for bloom, along with some ewc, perlite, kashi, and barley straw. It should be all you need.

Bonemeal probably takes longer than a run to become available imo fwiw
thats interesting. thanks. I remember reading better used outdoors so remains in soil. it was meant as belt and braces! I know I get minor deficiencies when I grow but cant work out why. normally I grow autos to reduce growing time just in case. its more the why than the what. I thought pH etc.

I have a second plant 20 days behind. just waiting for the spots!
cheers
