Pushing out white pistils, still not ready?

Hello. Made a thread closing in on two weeks ago about when to chop. We have just passed 10 weeks since flip and it seems to come in waves with new pistils, browning and then after a week it pushes out even more and the bud keeps on ”growing”, even if its spots growing and not as a whole unit.

The plant had been slowly fried because Im an idiot, so its hard to look for signs of ”natural death” of a plant.

As can be seen in the picture most old pistils have turned brown and receded slightly, but then there is a few spots on every bud that keeps on pushing.

Is it safe to say as long as this is happening it hasnt reached the point of harvest?

looking at pictures online about ”ready for harvest” gives me about zero insight. Half of the ”ready plants” have white pistils like I do.

The following is my 2¢ based on your pics.

Yes they are fried - however there is some life in the girl. Flower tops often continuously throw new pistil growth at apex of bud ( due to your light ) and the intensity it gets at that point. But you can look over the bud itself for pistils or whether they gave begun to recede and base it on how much is mature overall.

I would be cautious of any necrotic leaf moving to inner bud as that will lead to rot / mold.

I dont know if you cut feed or reduced it but i would just give it water only for at least another couple weeks. Plants do not follow calendars and finished in whatever time it takes. Your heavy handed feeding may alter that actual finish time too.

It looks like the buds were affected by your feeding excess - so plant may just not improve much.

AT LEAST ANOTHER COUPLE A WEEKS!???

By a Micronata microscope ($15) and look at the tricomes. That will tell the story.

I know it may be fun to look at it with your overalls on but science not bro science will give you the correct answers.

Meh... I'd let her go a little more if it were me and see if you can manage to get any smokeable bud. You could chop now but it would be shorting the plant yet again since it's still showing signs of growth. Then again some people just think they'll cut loses and on to the next grow. Your choice.

It's not ready to harvest. Let go another 3 weeks and you'll have a much better harvest than you would if you cut now.

Bud rot need 2 things to start. The bacterial and the right environment to support it. If your humidity level is in check and you have sufficient airflow around your plants the burnt leaves won't cause bud rot to start.
