I finally got off my ass and built a home for my babies. They had been in my closet but it was too hot in there. So i decided to take over my shower and construct a grow tent. I used plastic 1/2" PVC pipe for support. The dimensions are 28"x30"x76". First thing I did was construct my skeleton. I made the mistake of cutting my pipe the same length of the inner dimensions of my shower. Doh! I forgot to account for the extra length the elbow joints add. So after a few re-cuts and an extra half hour later I had my skeleton installed.
I then cut the panda film to the proper lengths. I am using two long sheets to encase the skeleton. One sheet will cover the left side (back of grow box). The sheet will attach midpoint on the top middle rail, run down the left side, and end under the structure.
It was very tricky managing a 5'x9' long roll. I found it easiest to roll it up first and roll it down the side, but due to the over lap it was still difficult. I used small pieces of gorilla tape to attach the film to the pvc pipe.

This sheet completes the back portion of my grow room. It overlaps the top, sides and bottom. I will eventually seal the room with gorilla tape.
The next sheet starts under the structure and runs up the left side, over the top, down the right side and ends under the right side.
There is overlap which creates the entrance.
I hung two bars to create the support structure for my light. I have a light with a built in ballast. (I wish i would have spent the extra money to get a cool tube type system, but I was being cheap )
I have a 170cfm inline fan exhausting into another room which is almost on full speed. I am getting a inline carbon filter soon. I don't have to worry too much right now because I am in the early veg stage.
I have a couple of questions.
1) I am using the door as a passive intake system right now. I am trying to figure out a good intake system while staying quiet and exposing the least amount of light. I have to figure this out before totally closing off the entrance.
2) I was thinking about using a zipper type fastener to close the door. I don't know if there is any better ways of sealing the room.
Any comments or questions would be appreciated. This is my first indoor grow so I hope it works out. I will start a grow journal soon.
