Quantity of nutrients info please

Hi all !

I'm about to start my first DWC grow in 4 x 5 gallons ,scrog ,600 hps in a 4x4 tent .
For that I ordered 2 quarts of each of the flora series . 2 quarts micro ,2 of grow an 2 of bloom .
Will that be enough considering i'm planning for one month veg . It's White Widow strain.
I know there are many factors to consider ,but I'm only asking for an average .

should have gotten the gallon jugs. you will need a bottle of cal/mag, gh3 doesn't provide enough. you'll probably have enough, or just be running out at the end of flower with a weekly water change.

make sure you pick up a ph meter and a tds/temp pen. keep an eye on the water temp, prevent pythium.

I have both ph and ppm meters ,I have cal mag ,Armor Si ,Hydroguard ,Rapid Start root booster and flora Kleen . You are right about buying by the gallons ,I do that next ...

does your ppm/tds meter have a water temperature mode? water temp is VERY important in dwc. if you go higher than 68f you are at risk for algae, ph swings, pythium, and bacterial growth. 58f-65f is ideal range for dwc. i've gotten by pushing nearly 75f water temp, but did get some slime and browning in the last week and a half of flower for that crop...

It does have a thermometer ,and I live in a cold appartment so heat won't be an issu .
P.S. I'm a cat lover too ...

You will use A LOT more of the bloom than the micro and a lot more of the micro than the gro. Id generally buy them in a 1g 2m 3b ratio so they run out about the same time.

yep, gh3 label instructions work very well. 3-2-1 (teaspoons per gallon of g-m-b) for veg, 2-2-2 for transition (first two to three weeks after switching to 12/12), and 1-2-3 for full flower.

i add potassium and a small amount of phosphorous after 2 weeks into flower up to harvest.

In a lot of the reading I did they say to start at half the ppm GH feeding schedule . Very often it's enough or very close . I also read that over feeding is a rookie mistake almos everyone experience ,so I'm a rookie so ... What do you think ?

on the label, gh states to start seedlings and freshly rooted cuttings at 1-1-1 (teaspoon per gallon grow, micro, bloom). i do this and have never had problems. once the growth blows up (usually 6-12 days) i go to 3-2-1 (plus 1 teaspoon per gallon cal/mag from botanicare). no burns, in fact, once they take off, they stay a little pale even at full strength.

what i think is you should increase your feed until you get slightly burned leaf tips. once you experience this, back off 200ppms or so (+/- 100ppm), and let it ride until it seems like it want's more food. a four foot tall plant will want stronger nutes than a one foot tall plant.

here's a simple chart that works for me:

it's in EC so you'll have to convert to ppm depending on your meter

0.3 for seedlings
0.6 for early veg
1.2 for rest of veg and almost all flower
0.6 for last 2 to 3 weeks of flower
