I will focus on the cure, since I am using soil, indoors. I'll propose my idea however would love to hear any suggestions about how others pursue the smoothest smoke.
My idea is to allow the plant to dry or semi-dry in the soil. Turning the lights to minimal the HPS maybe 2 hours a day, and keeping the soil very dry but adding just enough water to keep the plant hanging on.
The control of minimal light and moisture for the plant would put the plant in a mode of forcing the conversion and use of all its energy stores while depriving it of creating more. Hence smoother smoke? (is that what flushing does)
Also may humidify the air so the leaves don't dry down too quickly.
I'll see what happens, right now I am thinking a 10 day regime of this and then cut/harvest/cure per traditional methods.
