question about a 300W CFL

ok, i recently bought a light cone for a CFL and on the box it said 300W.

so i saw this 300W fluorescent lightbulb at home depot except its massive...

so can i use this bulb in it or does rthat 300W bulb need a ballast?

Well-Known Member
The 300 watt bulb you are referring to puts out an "actual" 68 watts. There is no need for a ballast. You can use it like any other light bulb...just make certain it has the capability of putting out those 68 watts.....which most lamps do.
