I am on my first grow and my plants are like 4 1/2 weeks into flowering. They seem to be flowering great and at a good rate. Last week I started to notice some fan leaves developing rust spots and now I am noticing that the leaves are turning yellow. The problem seems to be under control but the large fan leaves are still yellowing. I assume this is normal bieng that I midway into flowering. The leaves are turning brown and every few days I loose a leaf or just a parts of a leaf. I was freaking out at first but now I think I was just suffering from the 1st timer grow parinoia. The Buds are getting fuller by the day so the fan leaves problems are nothing........ Is this correct.........plants are producing flowers so forget about the fan leaves???
One more question, At what point in flowering do the buds grow the most?

Sorry for the stupid question

There are no stupid questions.
Yeah your fan leafs are normal, they are doing what they should so leave them on and let them be. If they are over half dead you can take them off.
The last few weeks they will grow huge (buds). I suggest you start useing 2 tbls of molasses per water/feeding and even after the flush.

Thanks for the reply!,.,.,.One more question. For my next grow I was thinking of trying a sea of green by putting 20 plants in a 8 square foot cabinet. Slightly less than 3 plants per sq.ft. My cabinet height allows me grow plants up 36" tall. Is it possible to grow 24" plants in a sea of green method by pruning most all the shoots except for the mail cola. So basicly I end up with 20 large colas.

whats the molasses for?
Molases fattens the buds up, and in veg/flower its great for the soil microbials, enhances regrowth, and makes the plant's use of nitrogen more effective. It also raises the energy level and acts as a mild natural fungicide.

Use 1 tbls per gallon once a week up to 3-4 weeks into 12/12 then 2 tbls per gallon per feeding and 4 tbl per gallon {clear water) after flush.
