Question about Aerogarden grows

I've read a couple of the guides here, and I was looking to maybe get an Aerogarden and give growing a shot...
I had a couple questions about it:

1) Is the Aerogarden Classic, with 6 pods, good enough? Consensus seems to be that it is, but will need its hood manually raised later?

2) With a default out-of-box Aerogarden setup, and default seeds from whatever bud I have on hand, what type of result am I looking at?

3) I know absolutely nothing about gardening, so is it a mostly self-growing setup? I believe the Aerogarden has automatic lights and timers, yes?

1) yea its good enough, u could so better, but yea 2) not really sure what ur askin, but if ur askin if u dont buy anything additional, whatll u get, than ull get a few Gs per plant is what i heard, you'll want 6500k daylight for vegging and 2700k soft white for flowering. ull also want: air pump+stone+tubing (cheap at petco), timer (6$ at radioshack), ph tester+ph up and down (keep between 5.5-5.7)(get at petco), figure 8 cord (radioshack), mylar (dollar store, get balloons if they dont have rolls) 3) some have timers, but i would get another, cause im not sure how they work

im growin in an aerogarden right now and those bitches blow up really quick i pushed a plant into flowering just last week and its not to bad i do wanna see the size the nugs can get i added some extra nutes for flowering now since the pistils are already out and its a girl definetly gives you healthy bushy plants tho

hey post pics cuz im about to start flowering here in a week or 2 and dont know what to expect

The link at the top of the page, Shop, has other gardens available....would any of these be superior/more effective than the Aerogarden?
