Question about Aeroponics, StinkBud style...

Now, I have read all the StinkBud info available out there, but there several things unclear to me. He says you can yield a pound every 3 weeks, by having 3 systems: Cloner-Aero, Vegging-Aero, and Flowering-Aero. But when you think about it the cycle does not add up...

Scenario:
Let's say you start with (rooted) clones from your friend.

Weeks:

  1. Vegging
  2. Vegging
  3. Vegging
  4. Flowering 4. Clones taken
  5. Flowering 5. Cloning
  6. Flowering 6. Cloning
  7. Flowering 7. Vegging
  8. Flowering 8. Vegging
  9. Flowering 9. Vegging 9. Clones taken
  10. Flowering 10. Flowering 10. Cloning
  11. Flowering 11. Flowering 11. Cloning
12. Flowering 12. Vegging
13. Flowering 13. Vegging
14. Flowering 14. Vegging
15. Flowering 15. Flowering
16. Flowering
17. Flowering

See what I mean? The flowering always overlaps, so there is no way to handle all the veg with one flowering aparatus; but yet, he says you need 3 pieces only: Cloner, Veger, Flowerer. I am confused....

Sorry, it's a mess. The editor reformatted it after inserting in the thread; but basically, by the time I have my veg ready for flowering, the aero won't available because previous crop still needs about 3-4 weeks in it, and after it has to be cleaned out.

You need 3 flowering systems and a strain that is finished in 9 weeks. Every 3 weeks you rotate one into the cloner, the ones in the cloner into veg, and the one's in veg into flower (and harvest one in flower if your all the way up and running) Pretty simple, I've adopted the schedule only using ebb&flow instead of aero/ntf

Yeah, after long pondering, I realised last night that he must have meant 3 flowering apparatuses, so that makes total of 5. Tell me, tallen, why do you choose the ebb&flow method instead of aero/ntf? Is it more efficient? I would be really grateful for your input on this. Thank you.

I started off reading stinkbud's thread, but decided to start with something less advanced to learn how to grow, so I started with DWC. Ran that for a while, but had recurring issues with ph swings, slime, and root rot and decided to try ebb and flow. Since switching all my problems disappeared, my ph holds steady, maintenance and upkeep are minimal, growth is excellent and yields have increased (hitting 1g per watt most runs pretty easily under 1000w lights). If I ever get bored and decide to switch things up I may give aero a try, but for now everything is going so well I see no need to change anything (like they say, if it ain't broke-don't fix it).

Thank you, very valuable info you have given me. I will try the StinkBud's method, if I get the cash for it though. If I don't them fuck it :) I'm gonna have to buy all the equip like lights and stuff, At the moment all I have is one 600W open hood HID, will be getting rid of that and getting cooled ones instead. But sure time will tell.

If you decide to try it go to the hydro section and read superstoners "my 3 stages of flower" thread. he was in the stinkbud thread too and he's still going strong, but managed to fine tune and improve what stink had going. If you have any ?'s hit him up there and he will be able to help you out. Peace!

I can't find the thread there at all (among the hundreds). The searcher doesn't pick it up. I have a question: StinkBud says that you clean out the cloner and the vegger every 3 weeks, which is fine. But how often do you clean out the flowering aeros? Like the plants sit in it for 8-9 weeks I presume. He doesn't make it very clear. He just says he cleans it after harvest. How do you solve this in yours? Thanks.
