Question about branching when LST

Finally decided to seed a Dinafem Roadrunner ,which usually grows medium-tall and lanky.

I only got like 13 inches of vertical space to work with ,so I'll have to tie her down as soon as possible.But from what I've experienced ,autos start to "really" branch only after showing preflower.

They seem to veg with really short internodes ,especially if grown with blue CFL and small pots.

I plan to use around 2 gallons of soil ,can I somehow estimate the height for this strain ,like 2x ,3x the veg size?

And also ,is there any problem if LST is done in preflower ,as long as the plant's stem is not too rigid? How much time do I have available ,to bring the stem to a horizontal positiion (until I risk breaking it if pulling, that is)?

I'm asking because so far , until preflower ,none of my strains had any loose stem to work with...they all had less than 1 cm distance between nodes.On the other hand ,I've only grown strains advertised as being short and compact.

Also ,any input ,advice ,hint about Roadrunner ,in general is highly appreciated. I've decided on it after seeing those smoke reports here on RIU ,but generally they were grown in larger pots and with stronger light.

I'm particularly curious about how many sets of branches per week does it develop until it stops stretching and puts its strength into buds. Does LST somehow stimulate more branching?

I have never grown an auto, but training seems best suited to photo period plants. There are two things with LST. One is to create more tops. Basically, when you put a vertical shoot horizontal, all the nodes because their own main cola. I don't think this is the thing to do with autos.

To tie them down to reduce height should work. Though with only 13" of space, you have your work cut out for you. The pot has to be taking half of it...

I meant 13 inches of space from the rim of the pot to the lights. I've seen Roadrunner grows where people had to work the stem in a u-shape horizontally ,or circle it around the rim ,that's how long the main stem got

Given that I grow with CFL ,every inch is priceless ,and in my last grow (no LST) ,the main cola got pretty dense ,while buds a few inches lower were somewhat fluffy. I read about auxins and all that ,and I'd like to keep as many buds as close as possible to the bulb.
