Question about buds from a noob.

When do buds start to form, and what does it look like when it does? Yes I know that white hairs let you know that it is a female and that its in the flowering stage but... The actual buds themselves, when do they start growing and what do they look like when they do?

that is not easy to explain how it starts and when it starts depends mostly on genetics. But i would say u normally get the white hairs in about a week. Then buds follow a few days after and look like alot of white hairs and green fluff lol

its a sativa, some type of Purple Kush, how much longer you think?

usually i don't see pistil's, ie, hairs, start to form hard till about 2 or 3 weeks into flowering.. usually the first two weeks of flower are mostly the stretch phase of flower, and not much flowering going on ime..
then what actually will start to look like buds don't occur untill a good 3 or so weeks into flower, and will look at first like a bunch of white hairs, but as the buds start to grow, you'll see more and more growth under and around the hairs, which is the buds..
if you want a really good idea, go over to the grow journal section and look at some people's grows so you can get an idea of how things come along..

you've still got like at least 6 or 7 weeks left on them easily..

most of my plants show hairs within a week, mine is 3 days in flowering already have hairs coming up. and your plant looks like 7 weeks left
here is my plant 3 days in flowering

Well where you see a hair, over the weeks one hair becomes 2 and each of those becomes 2 and so on and so on, til you have little puffs of hair, and the hairs keep growing in and they are what makes the buds really, kinda...lol. You can usually see the definite hair structure within 3 weeks of flower from seed, and sometimes as little as 2 weeks in to flower with clones...depending on their age.

As in my plant is already flowering and showing hairs so 7 weeks till buds start or buds finish?

7 weeks and you should be cutting her down and drying and curing her

Use google bro!!! I doubt its purple kush that dont sound like a sativa. ..if it is purple kush its indica dominant.
