I just picked up some new clones, and they are in solo cups with soil.. I really wanted to run DWC setup is there any way that I can remove the roots from the soil and put them into a dwc system? All help will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks

it can be done, but you have to be very cautious when washing off the dirt from the young, tender roots..
from what i've read, you just want to carefully take the clone out of its home in the solo cup, and gently remove as much soil as you can, and once you get that done, take the clone to the sink and gently wash off the remaining soil.. carefull being the keyword here..
i've never tried it personally, but i've read about it a few times..

Thanks for the quick response!! Yea i'm really nervous about doing it, cause I don't know if I can get anymore of these clones.. Might just veg them out, and try and take some clones(never had any luck with it lol).. I'm going to also try and do a little more searching on the topic! Very much appreciate the advice! +rep for helping out so fast!

Build a cloner so you can veg your clone out for a while and get closer to 100% success when you decide to take clones from our original F1. You can get up to 100% success but it takes some practice.

Nice wan mayne. I built the RumpleForeSkin cloner and have had 100% success with it so far. A humidity dome over the top of the cloner with clones inside, 70-80 degree water in the cloner, and keeping an ambient temp of 80 degrees has boosted my success rates. Try out my recommendations and see how it works for Jesus.

Nice ya i'm definitely going to give that a try!! Here's another question.. Do you absolutely need a dome over them? I'm not sure I can find something to fit over this cloner? I'll see if I can get a pic up of the one I have. real fast

Truth be told that the lid on this thing works great for a makeshift humidity dome on my 5 gallon buckets with small clones! You only need the dome for about the 1st 2 to 3 days to bump up the humidity to as close as 95 or 100% as possible and keep the shock to a minimum. I got 2 of the cake transporters for my ole lady from a local store for like $20.00 a piece but I'm sure you can find them on the net somewhere for much cheaper.

Nice and no I didn't know who made it or anything about the thing.. A guy I know is giving up on the growing world.. had problems with pest over and over.. So he's giving me all of his equipment cheap! Getting like a 1500$ setup for less then 400 bucks =)
