question about CO2~

I would really like to add some sort do it yourself Co2 system to my small 4x4 tent...even if its the old yeast water and sugar setup. My question is, will something as basic as this even be effective with my exhaust fan moving the air out of the tent at the rapid rate that it does??? If the answer is no... can someone explain what I would need to do to introduce a sufficient amount of gas? The damn fan is moving a LOT of air so I'm kind of confused as to how to go about this?

Im new to CO2 as well, but from what I gather, the exhaust fans must be off in order to build up and maintain the CO2. I would guess, that the fans should be rigged to go on above 85*F, or on when the PPM got above a certain level.

I have been shutting my exhaust off while releasing some of the small 8g canisters I picked up as an experiment... but surely anybody using HID lighting cant be running their tents for any period of time without exhaust.... no??

So I run around 6000 watts in my flower and I always turn off my exhaust fans when running co2. The plants are able to take higher heat when you running the right amount of co2. Also running dry ice in water over your plants is another good way of running co2 when you have a small area that's cheap and effective.

Also after the co2 has ran you usually want to wait about 7 to 10 minutes until turning back on your fans so that way the plants can uptake as much co2 as possible.

I know it's best to shut off your exhaust even in large grows... I was getting the impression he meant that the exhaust fans would only cut in with a thermostat over 85 degrees or with a ppm meter that would turn on the fans if there even is such a thing... thats where I got con-foozed!!! lol~

and regarding dry ice I have been in search for it locally.... closest place is about 45 mins away... you cant really store it can you???

damn, I always over look things like that. Like yesterday I over looked where it said that the socks I was buying were combed cotton, right in front of my face.
