question about curing

so the buds feel really dence when first taken off the plant and then do they stay like that? or will they feel more spongy and can be squeezed easier?

is there a technique on how to compress them a little? or do they just look a little lose in the first few days of curing?
 
well depending on starting density

loss of moisture will soften them a bit.

any attempt to compress will just nock most the hairs and trichs off

people would rather have spongy chrystaly weed than the same weed without hairs that seems kinda denser.

why grow it just to make it look like brick weed?
 
My buds seem to get a LITTLE tighter after drying. A buddy that grows outdoors dries his in a paper grocery bac, opening and flippin once a day. I does tighten them up some, but at what expense to trichs?
 
they tighten up after the full dry and cure and the best advice is to wait. They will get to feel tighter and squished after the full dry and cure process/ Resist the urge to crush!
