hold ya nose!! lol

if you get proper mason jars that seal air tight, with the plastic o ring for additional support, the smell should not leak the dankest bud mate! :weed:

ohhh its a bad smell, possibly bad flush, mold etc

sometimes you have to burp the chlorophyl for a while and that smell is not a good smell, but i dont think id describe it as dirty socks... i think mold mate, anyone else?

what do i do??? i left jars open for now help me plz
Scour the budz and look for mold (white fuzz) or soft spots (your finger falls in). If so, your done. Quick dry them, and make it into HOT oil for smoking or eating. (if you must)

If not get a hygrometer and a thermometer and put inside the jar/room/box. You want temperature between 65-75F humidity should be between 45%-55%.

It needs to be dry to a snap on the stem before you put it in jars.

When in jar needs to be opened every 4-6 hr, fanned and condensation wiped off; until smokable.

IMHO 45% RH is way too low....55% is considered by many as the lowest, anything lower impedes the curing process......personally I keep my jars between 62 and 65%

Does it smell like wet hay?

Also, feel the buds... if you know what nicely cured bud is supposed to feel like, it's easy to figure out the RH in your jar. I don't use anything but my fingers to figure out when to burp the jar and when to close it.

I left jars open for a day now the good smell came back i dont remember when i harvest her maybe a week ago
the bad thing is the main cola and the top buds are the ones are molding i will not toss.
once before i harvested and got few buds got real mold on them big white spots and smell bad i sell them 1 ounce for 200 ($500) and they bought them immediately

yea the worst you can do is put wet stuff in to jars too early. They have to be in a drying room for almost 7 days at least. After that - they are all piled into a box, and the top left open, still in the drying room. You should notice that some buds get moist again. You want a balance between moist and too dry. If the pistils dry white - you dried too fast.

When you do jar - you still monitor it every 8 hours, if it gets too moist (don't forget - ambient air is almost 90% humidity in michigan summer!) take them back out of the jar and back in to the drying rack. It is a learning process, again - varies with strain types.

if you sell it - its not medical grade so you better tell medical patients it has mold. Its offensive if they have to find out themselves.

Works well in the dry room for me very slow and even. I'm also in a desert so that may effect my environment differently.
