Get yourself a cheap mini hygrometer for like 5 bucks. Put your bud loosely in the jar. Leave about 1 1/2 of space at the top of the jar, and put the hygrometer in the jar where you can see it without opening it. Let it sit for at least 12 hours to get a good reading on the humidity in the jar. If its between 55 and 65 your at curing range. If its 70 then take the buds out and let them dry for another 4 -6 hours depending on how much higher it is from the curing range. If its if its 50 or lower then your out of curing range and you let the bud dry too long and theres really no way to get back to curing range. After you get to curing range put your jars in the dark somewhere cool and burp them once a day for like 10 minutes and stir the buds around gently. Do that for 2 weeks every day and after two weeks do it once every week or two. I cant remember how long after the burping you can leave the jars for long time storage, my bud never lasts that long. I may have missed something but Im sure someone will chime in. Good Luck
