Question about Darkness.....and it's role.

My question is about the 12/12 and flowering. To me it seems that if you use the correct spectrum during the 12hrs of day then more importantly; what's goin on at night? I hear people stress avoiding light during the dark hours. But in Nature there's all kind of ambient light and plenty of sources (Full Moon, stars, man-made sources, etc....)

O.K. so the question....What role does the Moon light have in relation to the dark phase of the 12/12 and would imitating the moon's light have any effect? (Reptile bulds have that type of light spectrum):weed: Cheers!

The full moon is not as bright as you'd think (1 lux, or 1 lumen per square meter), and the stars even less so. As for man made light, it can cause hermie behaviour in outside plants.

I'm not sure if imitating moonlight would have any positive effects, to be honest.

I realize that...stars, etc. I used that for example. Curious about moon light. Pot plants in nature aren't hidden behind a vail. O.k. so let's say total darkness is better. Are plants grown indoors properly, more superior to those grown outside?
