Question about drug testing

ok so i am an occasional smoker, maybe, 2-3 times a week max with sometimes going 2 weeks without smoking. i am planning on getting a job thru my friend but the thing is that they do a hair as well as urine test. now the urine test is no problem but how do i go about passing a hair sample test? and where do they take hair from? i cut my hair roughly once a week down to a 1. do they use body hair?

any1 have any experience with hair tests? there is a bunch of mixed info on the web so i thought some1 here may know

I saw judge judy once ask for a hair test and they used pubic hair....true story

if the hair on your head is long they may use that i would think is the most comon process, if you bleach your hair it might not work though.
the guy on judge judy had a crew cut so i guess they were looking for longer hair

Just ballpark: If they use hair on your head - it will usually detect usage within the past 3-4 months. If they can't take scalp hair, they can use body hair - with which they can detect usage within the past 9-12 months or so.

Labs and techniques vary, so that is only ballpark.

but will they not hire if there is THC in the hair from that long ago?

I was tested a few months back for a job. I had 5 days notice before the test was administered so I kept off it until after the test. It was a simple urine test. They didn't pop me on the THC but I had also taken a Bultalb for a migraine about 2 days before the screen. They popped me on the bultalb and checked for a prescription, which luckily, I had one. So I guess they didn't bother going further than that on the test.

I wonder, if the lab detects something else, such as Bultalb, before THC or anything, do they just not even bother to finish the test? Does this mean that it is okay to abuse a certain drug as long as you have a prescription for it, even if you're abusing other substances that you don't have a prescription for?

No even if it has been that long they will not hire you I went through that at 16 even if you cut your hair if its in your system it will be in the new growth best bet is to quit smoking or find a job that only uas at least then you can use a piss pack

So, if a company is considering hiring you and the state has approved marijuana for medicinal use, can the company still refuse you as an employee if you test positive, even if you have a medical marijuana license?

Yes!! If there policy say that no one use's drugs, than if you have medical card or not, its the fact they dont want people that use drugs period. Its the hard true but i live with it.

Yup, it may be be legal, but companies can have whatever drug policy they want. Haur tests suck. Pee tests arent bad. A said above you can quit for a few weeks, and if you drink lots of liquids to flush you should be good. Word of warning, if you ingest versus smoke it stays in your system quite a bit longer

is you used drugs when you were 10 and got a hair "drug test" when youre 30. they can see any drugs youve used. almost your entire life.
