question about drying??

I'm using my tent to hang dry my girls before jarring them.After 1 day of hanging them,I noticed a musty smell inside the tent.My question is would it be ok to turn my air vent on to suck the moisture out while drying.I dont want to over dry or dry them too quickly,and def dont want mold??

your thoughts would be greatinions are appreciated.

Best way to dry weed is at 50-55 % humidity in my opinion....if its musty smelling u need some air flow I would assume

You'll want to turn your vent on. You need air movement to help pull out the moisture as it will just build inside the tent leading to mold. Could turn moldy quick if its musty after one day without action. That musty smell may go away with a good trim and cure but it may linger on the outside of the buds.

all is well..I turned the air on.Its resting t a cool 70 degrees. and sitting at about 59% RH.

Good to hear your problems fixed. I also hang dry in my tent with a small 6" clip fan on low at the bottom of the tents directed almost at the floor, and my exhaust fan on sucking everything out.
