Question about flowering times

I know on a lot of seed bank sites it has a flowering time listed for most everything, but my question is this: Does that represent the total time from seed to chop down or is it from the switch to 12/12 to chop down?

from 12/12 however long you veg for is up to you depending on room size

My assumption is that the flowering times listed are indicative of approximatly how long it will take the plant to finish after it begins flowering, not when you switch the lighting to 12/12.

Flowering times are only guidelines. Lots of factors during the grow dictates how long it takes a plant to finish.......
