Question about Flowering

Please excuse my ignorance but this is my first indoor grow. When i approached this grow, i never considered sexing during the veg so 5 days ago, i finally flipped to flower after 36hrs of darkness. My last week of veg was on a 20/4 light cycle...i had upped it a little to try to get my cola's growing becuase i topped them late in veg.

my question is how long will it take before plants to start producing more pistils and such. Not sure what to expect since this is my first grow indoors.

Thanks

wassup bro it should take a week till you start seeing the sex after you switc to its 12/12 cycle bro. are the fem seeds? of they are try not to strees them to much because they have a tendancy to herm real easy, well thats just my expirance. if i where you i would go with reg seed genetics are more stable. good luck bro hope evrything works out. keep it green and keep on growing

in my personal opinion yes they are more unstable, but ther are some people who have never got a herm or a mutation. also you got to remember the way the make fem seed is by streesing the plant out till it herms then they collect the seeds from that plant. by doing this it passes the herm gene on to its offspring, some companys will breed this trait out but most of them dont cuz of timing. but i do have to say not all fem seed herm its how you grow them and how much stress you put on them. as long as you wtch them carefully you will be okay. but for me reg seeds are the way to go

by the way your ladys are lookign real good bro big thums up. and what kind of strain is it
?
I've got 2 Purple OG's (left), Blue Widow (middle), Humbolt (right) and a OG Kush & BC God Bud in the back. Some of these are fem seeds so thanks i will keep a look out those pollen sacks.

I hope to see some some changes over the next week or so.

i forgot to to mention ther is three ways to make fem seed by strees, with chemicals and by letting you plant go past its maturaty point. keep it green and keep on growing

This is so wrong. Fem seeds arent any more likely to herm unless they are bred by an idiot breeder. All plants have the potential to herm. It's usually the fault of the grower, not the breeder.

That's false imo. Old info from old timer growers who are wary of change. The only upside to having reg is if you are a breeder and you want to choose your phenotypes to breed and of course have the males to do it. The way fem seeds are created is by stress and "selfing" or mating two females. The kick is they have to hemri them to create the seeds but close to all marijuana can be hermied one way or another through stress. (a very small amount of sativas and a even smaller amount of indicas cant be hermied due to a mutation that effects its survival systems functions, from Greg Greens breeders bible.) Any reputable breeder wont let out hermi prone genetics. Its as easy as growing some females out to finish before choosing and feminizing some seeds, which is usually done anyways so you can choose your desired ladies clones to be feminized. They dont just fem a plant and hope for the best. The only real trouble with this is the seeds produced are very homogenous and you get plants that all look the same. I think this is a good thing but breeders looking for something new wouldn't. I trust my breeding companies to choose the best phenos they produce for me. Fem is the way to go IMO unless your a breeder.

as a breeder myself i really couldnt agree more with you more . if you ever find yourself in jamaica id be happy to give you some of my sativa dom seeds. i usually fill up my 45 acres and divide them according to how pure they are
