Question about lighting cycle

im sure this is already in the forum somewhere but i cant seem to find it. is it better to vegg under 24/7 lighting or 18/6? which is better for faster growth?

i always leave it on 24/0 for 2 weeks to induce rapid rooth groth , then switch to 18/6 ,, plants do need a lil time to rest ,

I asked the same question a few days ago. I had always done 24/7, but then I read here about people doing 18/6. I'm still doin' 24/7. I just can't bring myself to turn off the light....

I'm struggling to grow under 4, 4'flouro tubes all the way thru (cool blues at that, yeah I'm a masochist) but I used a 18/6 and vegged for 2 months (like I said I used tubes. lol) but the growth was fantastic undertubed flouros on a 18/6 i agree, plants do their goodies at noght, during the day they absorb energy andd just grow upwards. at night they produce the good stuff inside so a little rest never hurt anyone.
