question about lights

Im a first time, and if the old lady has her way a last time grower. , my plants are now one week into the flowering stage under a large round white light but I also have a orange light that I was told works well when budding. Should I be using both lights or is the one white on good enouph?

ok IM gunna get all my dumb ass questions out, Ive benn using a all pourpose fertalizer 20-20-20, is there a better fertalizer I should be using?

They look wonderful... Very healthy at that. Well you said you have a white and an orage. I'm not gonna get crazy with lights and they're different attribs but the more light the better. Granted I have questions of my own like what wattage? Is the orange an HPS or is it a party bulb..? At the flowering stage which it appears you are in fromyour beautiful pics - you should reduce your N=Nitrogen and focus more on P&K. These elements are what your plants will mainly use for this stage. Not saying that nitrogen is not need because I am not saying that... But her diet has changed now and you will want her to use less nitrogen in order for her to bear her sweet fruits..

So yeah I know I said I didn't want to get into light specifics but what are you using exactly in the area of lights??

Here is the best advice you are going to get. Reads the FAQS, and also other peoples journals. We have no idea of what lights you are talking about. Also.. NO!!! That 20/20/20 fert is not at all correct for flowering stage. Once again go read the FAQS and Journals. You need to figure out what kind of ferts will work best for you. Are you growing in Soil or growing Hydro. How much money you willing to pay?
I would think not very much since your wife is all over your ass about your plants. That being said, you most likely have a couple of $5 bulb for lights from Home Depoe or Lowes.

ok lord dangly I should off just read old posts but im a bit of a slacker and took a short cut, My light is a 1000 watt metal halide bulb. my other light is a 1000 watt ceramalux, skinny little thing but as it turns out when I plug the ballest in the fan dosent come on so it looks like the one light will have to do, Thanks for the help guys, im off to town to get some better fertalizer!

Very nice. You get some good Ferts, and with that 1,000 watts of blinding light, you should get some very sweet buds.

On a side note. Try and get your wife interested in the plants. One of my buddies started a grow a few years back, and his wife was totally against it. as they grew and she watched she got more and more interested. Now she takes care of the plants more then he does.

But think twice as hard about growing if you have children in the house.
