question about measuring soil ph

I have read a good digital ph meter/probe is the easiest/best way to test the ph of my soilless medium. I also read you test the ph of the runoff water and the ph of the solution before you introduce it to the plants. So how does this tell you the ph of your medium? Do you just split it down the middle and assume that is your ph? For example, if you nute solution is 6 and your runoff ph is 5, does that mean its safe to assume your medium is around 5.5?

yeah...no. It doesnt work like that. What medium are you in, then I can tell you how to exact your PH (acidity level) I just ph my water going in, flush properly and wallaa healthy plants that take in nutes properly ~ BCbuddy :leaf:

go higher than that if your in veg, go 6.5-7 sunshine is soil right. Then drop a half point ( 6.5-6.0 ) for flowering. Good luck, anything else you want to know?

just buy a cheap probe and maybe a soil ph kit and compare the ph, if its soil just use sulphar to lower it and dolomite lime i think to make it higher
